Misc. Information and CF Database

  • Hello, I was looking in the CF database and I noticed a number of holes in the data, especially concerning the Dom'Kavsh systems. I'm remapping the region and will post jh coordinates for all of the systems once I'm done. If the database can't be updated there should at least be a place to get the information you're looking for. I'll edit this post until the holes have been filled. If you notice some other incorrect or non-existant information in the CF database plz post about it :D

  • Aren't these locations supposed to be missing from the Database? As in: no explorers have returned from DK systems in the storyline.

  • No, most of this information was already listed in the database. Instead of just showing the 4 or 5 missing jumps I'm showing the whole set of systems. If there wasn't database information already available in the database on the subject at all I wouldn't have pursued it :D

  • The gate is RANDOMLY closed (shoots at u) or open (does not shoot at u)... or maybe OP decides when it's open/closed...

  • My first post is about a year old I think so I don't think that gate worked at that the time with the running version. I'm not exactly sure how the Hypergate works with the times it's locked and unlocked, but I do know that it's a jittery bugger and those turrets mean business. Also, shooting it when it's otherwise calm doesn't seem to be a good idea. 8o


    I haven't checked the database recently so I'm not sure if the missing information and other things like planet coordinates are in there, but since I'm working with a different set of maps now than I was then I can't make any more updates until I've re-explored the region. I know that CA was working hard several months back on infocards and background regarding the planets in DK space, but I'm not sure what ever came of that project. Other than that, I suppose all that's left for me to find are the locations of all the DK stations. I'm not sure what good it'll do but it ought to be good fun tracking them down. There sure are a lot of them. :)

    Well, between an increase in OP's RL work load, and the hacker attack earlier this year, the planned CF1.7 infocard updates were postponed to CF1.8, apparently. And the grid loactions I originally put in the D-Base update were deliberately vague (many DK jh's are @ grid intersections), which irritated some people enough to assemble their own D-Base updates... [4]

    1. target DK Hypergate
    2. click buttun "Switch to target" on ur radar/ target box
    3. look for the those arrows that show subtargets on the Hypergate, if u can see the arrows and can click them to see the particle disruptors, well then they r on that day. if u do not see any arrows, then they r off and u can go have fun ^^
