  • My brothers done it just gotta replace fan 1 stopped working but it got warranty cause fans new thought id let yous see haha

  • nice loop

Are the temps good? AMD tends to run a bit hotter in idle.

    lian li fans?

Ram speed looks wrong, EXPO active? nvm, probably the first boot.

However, would be interesting to know if 4x16gb runs stable on EXPO. The ram controllers sometimes have problem with that.

Bottom and rear fans seem to be reverse fans and the ones on the radiators normal ones, right? In that case you will have to adjust fan curves a bit to create positive air pressure inside the case to prevent dust.

The Montech case certainly came with a magnetic dust filter on the bottom. Use it. (can not see it used on the pics).

Also worth thinking about is to buy a cheap dust filter for the rear case fan. You can get some already for 5€. Sometimes even less.

Im somewhat impressed about how much space the Montech case has in the front. I just recently build a new PC and Montech was an option but I decided to go for a Lian Li case because I was able to fit more HDDs into it.

  • rams running at 2666 now now and my gpu temp is maxing at 38c and my cpu is maxing at roughly 38c-42c my loop temp is running at 31c max on 10minute stress test max my loop can handle is 60c with soft tubing so I'll start getting worried at 45c on loop temp but I'll definitely have to get them dust filters for monstec case at back do you know where I could find them mate and I'll ask my brother if he's got the dust filter for bottom maybe he had them off for first boot lol sometimes new pc won't start first time unless you got panels off lol and I'm not sure what fans they are but they look like lian li fans i might have to change fan orientation when he drops it off if he's not relised lol I've got a replacement fan on way as he had to send one back under warranty lol so I'll check fans and turn them if needed could you tell me what fans should be in and out? for a house that does get little bit of dust was originally going for negative pressure setup just hop3 he put them right way round otherwise I might have to mess around the fans hope it should be okay though I haven't got any hdds yet but thinking of getting a second SSD And maybe 1 or 2 sata ssd and 1 Or 2 HDD

  • No, the fan origentation is correct the way it is.

But you have 5 fans on the radiators which blow the air out of the case but only 4 fans (which look like reverse fans) which suck fresh air in. Means you very likely will have a lower air pressure inside the case than outside. This in result means that air flows into the case from other sources (e.g. the pcie slots or other tiny openings). Those openings are impossible to cover with dust filters therefore the negative air pressure will suck in all the dust.

If you have more intake fans (with dust filters) than exhaust fans you create a positive air pressure inside the case which prevents that any dust can get in through other openings (other than the with dust filter covered intake fans).

You can increase the speed of the 4 intake fans to outbalance the 5 exhaust fans. All you have to do is to adjust the fan curves. I assume that ROG fan controller at the back has some software for that.

  • Maybe I can't see well, but according to the pictures, it looks like all the fans are set to exhaust (This is the first time I'm hearing about reverse fans, but anything is possible). It is full negative pressure, so there is no fear of dust :D That temps are fine for lower CPU temp. you need to play with PBO a little

  • so I learned something new, I got it after 5 seconds of the video. It was enough for me to see the orientation of the blade, Of course, this is only for aesthetic reasons so that the fan mounts are not visible thanks for the education.

  • Well you don't use such endless mirror fans if not for aesthics

  • Ultrawide monitors are nice for gaming (if the games support them) but the troubles on all games with 16:9 stuff. ;(

The temps are no surprise after that short duration.

You probably have to stress test for an hour before the water of your loop gets saturated. The graphic card specifically will contribute to the total heat of your loop since the 20xx series runs very inefficently.

  • Monitor is nice but personally i'm not a fan of ultrawide youll get black stripe on both sides when you play crossfire :D. That is why i use 2 it can be useful. Btw your rig looks awesome i rly like it and the temps are fenomenal. I wish you long use and many hours of gaming

I toned down the possible RGB puke on my build to a satisfying minimum. It does not have to light up my entire room. RGB is nice until it starts to bother you.

That however, does not mean you can do some fancy stuff.

(not the greatest video quality filming in the dark)

The fans are also mirror rgb stuff but thats only active in certain situations.

Barely visible, but the red display shows 41°C idle temp after ~1 hour. That is actually ok for a 9800x3d (idle temps are a mess on AMD). But since I got a pretty good sample I undervolted it massively (and stable) so during +1hour stress test temps never went higher than 69°C.
