Is my campaign bugged?

Same thing happened to me. After reaching the first French base, I get savegame "side story 4: ???", get another 50 million and then nothing happens, the game says "awaiting objective". I tried exploring all of French space, nothing happened, then went back to Earth, assuming the side quest was over, but no Juni and King.

I decided to skip the side story on my main save, at least I have played it now, and I didn't need the 150 million credits.

I would like to hear from anyone who played the side story, and found Juni and King on Order HQ after coming back.

I broke out of the main campaign a few times to visit X-3043 systems, but all before mission 10 (last vanilla mission you can decline), and since the side quest is part of mission 13, I don't see how that would affect the side quest.

no, you can return to the main campaign if you followed the missions instructions and did not leave the path

and if that wont work for you because you left the path or did not follow the instructions you can always load the last generated savegame from the main campaign

the bonus missions are a work in progress and always will remain work in progress because that is the only way to add more story content bit by bit

I suspect there may be issue with autosave use anytime before going to Side mission path. There is also needed extra patch the game saves (read here) because new factions added. I will try finish my tests of my game-saves (with latest updates) and if it will work, I will upload mission save which should work with bonus mission. It may however need some time.

first of all big thanks for CF mod, really great job there, I spent a lot of time with this already!

I have the same issue: used the "decline" option in Order HQ and then started the bonus missions. Last one is "Side Story 4: ???". Afterwards I went back to Order HQ but no cutscene and no Juni and King there. I also have the "Awaiting mission objective" on the map screen.

Additional remark: When I load the generated save for "Side Story 4: ???" the "Awaiting objective" is no there anymore and also nothing happens in Order HQ.

I followed the instructions and stayed on the path when playing the side quest.

Are there any news regarding this topic or should I skip these missions? Second remark: The autosave is generated by default (should this be switched off, if yes, how?) but I never used it to load the game.

I played the bonus missions about 3 weeks ago and everything worked fine.

I really don't know why it would not work for you.

Deactivating the autosave is not possible.

I uploaded 2 savegames. First one is the generated one for "Side Story 4: ???" in Alsace, the other one is in Order HQ after I returned from this last side mission.

And you are sure you did not load autosave at some point?

The files contain lots of stuff that should not be there.

Yeah, I did not use autosave as it is mentioned already several times in the mod description that this could cause problems.

What is in the file that "should not be there"?

lots of code that simply shouldnt be there (just a few hundred lines)
