This is very dissapointing, since when are oppurtunities for unique events shot down? There was an outstanding opportunity for good RP, it had support going for it, and it got cancelled because of a non-existant threat of a server war? What's the worst that could happen? If something goes wrong people should apologize and move on, but not even giving it a chance is like someone not buying a car because they know there's a chance of it being stolen, lol. How could such a small-scale event like this lead to a clanwar? If something like this is dangerous, why not get rid of the ASF-CSF RP or ban PvP? Or am I missing the point entirely and it's about something else? Would it be that the CSF owns Dublin? Then the blockade could just be shifted onto the Hyperion side of the gate. If it's something I haven't even mentioned plz explain so that I can understand your logic. Imao just because something is new doesn't mean that it's bad; why can't we have a bit of fun? That's why most of us go serverside in the first place you know.

there are more discussions about it here on the forum than rp on the server and this suxeven i dislike to agree to osiris but in this case he is right (as long it doesnt contain anything unfair or something that could whipe out ppls existence on this server)
if you want to do roleplay then do but dont discuss about things that didnt even happen yet

My post was there to show that we accept this RP challange and unite all sides that want to smuggle. Only thing that bother me is eventual loosing of the loot that cost 25mil and that can make some ppl angry
cause first thats alot of money and time and second cause all sides have ppl that were just recruited or old clan memebrs that are back now (as DC have several in last few days) -
pls can you do the blockade it should be fun. there is a large merjoity that want it and i would be more than happy to run the line.
just one thing pls give us a little chance and do patrol runs in Dudlin and not just sit at the gate waiting for us.

Now what does that mean. I remember the last "blockade" here.
Players want to complain about losing 25 million in cargo, well we tried to "fine" people for transporting (just like the real world) and we were accused of being pirates( Granted there was one fine that was excessive).
So your options are two; Drop the cargo ( and lose 25 million) or be shot down ( lose 25 million) or run and make it with escorts.
CFPD has instructions to patrol the entire route and not just sit in one system, but the moment this gets ugly, it stops.

CFPD, plz do ur police job.. patrol the route from california to Dublin, do a inspection point in dublin or other system... let hyperion to the lane hackers, they should have means to earn their life too, and we got to have a chance to scape too.
The situation is the same as when I am most of the time around manchester and Cortez to tax ppl... this is the same RP... some ppl get angry some times, some even do F1 upon taxing, some change chars when notice the LP is on their way... this (F1 and switching chars) make things difficult sometimes for RP...
One day... I complained to BG_Tassie (and talked about that with Gunny) about the switching of chars to avoid taxing... and Tassie agreed that this was a kind of cheating...
The same thing I will consider cheating IF I put my chars along a route (for exple Cortez, Manchester, Dublin) and, if someone manage to scape, I start switching chars to get THE SAME PERSON ahead...And, guys, let the Black Market FLOW!!!

@ Inferno....you need to decide what KRT is going to do for your role. Not switch it to fit the times. Merc are Mercs. Pirates are pirate etc.
As for the BM patrols. they are happening and in place.

For CFPD to announce this type of action is no different than LP announcing taxation actions. It is completely within the character of the CFPD role, just as piracy is for LP. I applaud the action as some imaginative role-play, and wish more clans (ahem, including my own...) would do more of this. The ASF/CSF RP is not the only way to play a role here; besides, while CFPD is focused on Hyperion, there are lots of other profitable routes open to entrepreneurs....

Just out of curiosity, where are all the CFPD? The DC has been escorting and smuggling all morning and yet there's still no blockade...where did all the action go?
