WTF? is this???

I remember that OP said, that he`ll close some gates. The gates NY->Custo & Custo->NY are ones of them...

that should happen today... need to check it

but yes the dynamic universe on CF does also include malfunctions of gates, solar activities and other events

unfortunatly it seems like the event started too soon - even before news were posted.... like i said .. ill have to check it

well i have announced this several times already

the 24/7 Crossfire server has a daily updated dynamic universe controlled by the server itself

i checked yesterdays news:
"The Jumpgate between New York and Custodian has a malfunction. Several ships which used the gate didn't appear on the other side. To avoid more losses the gate has been deactivated until the error has been fixed."

thats the reason
to be informed about such events would be usefull coz theoretically every system on the CF server could be invaded by enemy forces. Traderoutes could be cut off... there could be solar activities disturbing jumpholes or such malfunctions of jumpgates... there could be epidemics on planets and many other things

all this does take effect on the gameplay on CF

Perhaps it's irelevent, but a player approached me earlier stating that "the jump in Alaska isn't working." Maybe it's related to the Custo problem, or perhaps it was just a noob trying the jg to NY. I personally don't care all that much, but I always report what I find.

Yeah that was me..i was trying to go to the meeting thru NY>Alaska ..but the gate didnt let me...at first i thought maybe i had a lower level meaning i was lv 18 since i made a new character just to go the X-3043 but then i tried it with my current character which is at level 60 and it still didnt let me in...so then i gave up.. lol

That was, and is really a good idea.. but these events occur only one at time? I mean, whenever an gate gets closed it'll be reported at CFNN?

And BTW, i think that Mr GAY-1 has a point.... am i wrong!? That is not spam, is a completely out of context, uselless and futile question... when it is pointless.

The NY to Alaska jump gate has never been open in Crossfire. Op shut down some jg's to prevent the creation of a "super trade route". I think the Chogoku to Tohuku gate is also closed.

well, I'm sure the clans will come up with some kind of system, just watch, give it some time and they'll have their billionare estates back

Alucard my hats off to you for being able to get through the mine field but the truth be told even with military permission repair techs refuse to transit the mine field to try and repair the Gate between NY ---> Alaska. Sorry. Union rules.
