    Im pissed at this community... mainly because of inconsequent work but also because of this fucking ignorance. Actually this is nothing new and i doubt that this community will ever change.


    I doubt that ppl will start using their brains.
    I could now ask again "where is this?... did you think about it?... where have you been?...." but as usual i will either get nothing or only excuses. Im so sick of it... im so sick that i have to say everything 100 times before ppl even think about to do something. Im so sick about these endless stupid discussions about things you cant even change. Im so sick that ppl tell me what i have to do. Im so sick being bothered with all this unimportant shit while the important things are not brought to me. Im sick of ppl not thinking about consequences. Im sick of this stupid bitching between you players and im sick of ppl thinking to know me. You know nothing about me or why im doing all this here.


    You are waiting for a decision... a decision i cant give. Even if i would be able to fix all these errors then i would need to do it this weekend. Difference between me and you is that i need to calculate with my time very strictly even after i already reduced my sleep back to 3 hours again.


    Even if i would be able to do this bugfixed then there is still the problem of hosting... Lancersreactor didnt post the news about Cf1.61 yet for unknown reason. I did submit it successfully 4 times during the last 2 weeks... also the posts about CFs dynamic universe tool has not been submitted... so there is a damn big problem with hosting files and making them public. Without LR posting the mod + update asap
    there is 0 chance. To host it somewhere else is not acceptable.


    the server will be online this weekend so you can get rid of all bugged weapons and ships... if not i will start deleting chars.


    before you start thinking i speculate about those options because of the community i need to tell you that this is not true... im doing this coz i dont let things back unfinished

    The most efficient mechanism for distributing any large file, is through the Usenet (Newsgroups).


    This allows one person to post, and anyone who has access a Usenet server (usually provided by there ISP), can download this file at their maximum bandwidth. I refer you all to for further details.


    If Op would allow FTP access to the updated Mod, it can be posted as a split RAR file, with PAR2 files to ensure that the unachieved file is 100% complete.


    I appreciate that only a handful of us are familiar with Usenet and Newsgroup software, but within any likely timeframe, it would be possible to create and test user guides that ensure that all users could download the mod using this method.


    Those users whose ISPs do not provide access to Usenet, can subscribe to an excellent service for as little as 6 USD for one month.

    OP, as pcforce said it before i sudgest the torrents as a solution to the hosting problem.


    I still dont get it why are you thinking "its shit"when its one very good way(i might say genious) to share files.
    Its very popular here in Bulgaria and in the past one or two years its wightly used all over our networks.It allowes u do download files with your maximum download rate and its corruptionfree :)

    Actually, torrent wouldn't be the best short term solution. What happens, is that a good .torrent needs at least 5 seeds (asuming that each of this seeds has an average network connection). So you see, with torrent, instead of needing one host, we'll need 5 hosts, connected 24/7.


    Splitting the file in several rar files would increase drastically the chance of file corruption. So the best option would be to host an complete file in some web hosting space. Were i don't know.. since i don't upload any files.

    im prepared to host the mod for download and i can set aside 50-60 Gb bandwidth so that's enough for over 300 downloads and because i have a 10 mb cable modem connection the download speed shouldn't be to bad how to actually make it available i have to admit im not to sure but if this interim solution is acceptable it would be np for op to arrange

    had to dl it 2x now due to mods corrupting it and becoming unusable
    i think its cuz i try to us the green hud :P

    YO OP how can u make 5000 files in one mod and have the mod have no bugs. U are one true programmer. I have yet to make 50 programs in 1 week dang. I have never seen ne one take star lancer + freelancer+a whole lot of shit and make a mod. Dude ur good.

    use a clean install of FL
    and torrent and filesharing is no option because its no good way to publish anything besides the hosting issue
