So here I am back again, hoping to be back on Crossfire and shooting those dastardly pirates and cops and other miscellaneous. However, I have absolutely no idea how to install Crossfire or Freelancer for that matter using the Ubuntu or Fedora OS. I don't even know which one of these to use! If someone could help me, I would greatly appreciate this. I believe I need to acquire a Windows Emulator?

Hello Dented_ship and LordRaydenMK,

Thanks Wanderer! However, my main problem is the Wine Application itself, it's so complicated what with all these Sudo stuff and all, and weird Sudo passwords, What is this!?

As far as I understood, sudo command gives you root (admin) rights, and Sudo password is your admin password.
You can enable and disable it as described here: Enable and Disable Ubuntu Root Password | Ubuntu GeekFor using Wine, maybe these guides can help:

Also WineHQ - Freelancer 1.x might give some hints.
Looks like there is some troubles with DirectPlay (playing on server).
In the comments there is a "walkthrough" for another mod.
