Not so much if it gets Khorne or Nurgle dedication, or simply gets full Cultists training. But I mostly buff Master Gunner, Heretek and Squadron Sergeant, and that certain ship went other way...

In fluff, the ship might also be crewed by Chaos Space Marines, which might result in following variations:

Yeah, at least you got a chance to come out swinging from that one, if you're okay with Chaos Undivided at least (and even that isn't necessary). Second option is also somewhat evened out if boarding parties are fear-immune (other space marines, for example), and first option is rare since Alpha Legion doesn't like open fights no such legion exists. Fourth option, well... in some cultures number 4 is associated with death, and this is pretty much the case (bonus points for the tactics belonging to IVth Legion).
