try them one by one

most likely you will settle on Sweet FX
the difference .... at least to "vanilla" and ENB standard ....

yeh i cranked up anisotrophic and aa from nvidia menu and chose the sweet fx. it looks great now

You guys are going to tempt me into getting myself a new graphics card for Christmas.
Then I'll probably need a new motherboard/CPU to make it worthwhile.
Playing CF is as good an excuse as any, and better than most, I guess. -

so did I.
I justified it, since I gave it to myself as x-mas present

SweetFX looks great, but too bright. My eyes can't handle it.
-
try reducing "gamma" in options
-
actually sweetfx makes the screen darker for me
-
.. but sharper and with more ... contrast
-
SweetFX has a toggle feature - press scroll lock to make it dark or bright

I REALLY want to try one, since I remember it from my last playthrough, but my current rig acts funny and kills the resolution adjustment when I use a shader, which looks... not good. Any clues as to the issue?
-
Which graphicscard do you have ?
And please upload a picture -
I have a GT 610, which is... passable nowadays, but shouldn't have much issue with the shaders, least not SweetFX. I kinda am more suspicious of a combination of factors including being Windows 8.1.
As for pictures, I'll try to get around to it next time I log on. To describe, I have a 1600x900 monitor, and with no shaders the game will scale to the resolution. However with a shader on it resets to 800x600, which causes some wonkiness as it doesn't even try to keep it all on screen, so things like text are out of borders and the edge of screen goes past display.

1600x900 is 16:9, so that should work just fine (i use 1920x1080, also 16:9)
Did you activate Crossfire with widescreen option on ?
Did you run Freelancer\CFWidescreenfix.exe ? -
Didn't even know that last one was a thing. Guess I'll need to check that.

use reshade dx 10 with colourfulness and film grain filters in game looks mint and still get 180fps brilliant
