Internal Server Errors

  • Dunno if it's my browsers, or what, but lately I'm having a real hard time posting anything to the forums, or even going into threads to read posts. About 50% of the time I'm getting an "internal server error", and this happens both on my Win XP /IE8 setup at work, and my Win 7/ FireFox home setup. This is pretty frustrating after typing a half page, only to see it disappear when the error pops up... :(

  • I have attached two of the error codes I'm seeing; I hope this helps solve the issue.

  • @Centurian: if you press Submit and get error, use F5 ... this will properly send post you have prepared. But these 500 error is here as well and it happen also in CF launcher (info screen only, updates are downloaded corrcetly).

  • I am aware that the situation is currently sub-optimal
Atm i can not really tell what the reason for the problem are... infact none of the logs really point to a specific error.

The new Forum software for some reason runs stable... but since not all features and plugins are ready and since we didnt cover the costs for them a switch to the new Portal is not possible atm.

I am trying to find a solution but... that could take a while.

The slow response times atm (and 2 days ago) were actually caused by me trying to run this forum with the settings of the new forum software (that for some reasons causes massive performance probs to the server)

Only dead fish swim with the stream.
Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

    This is ten percent luck,
    Twenty percent skill,
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will,
    Five percent pleasure,
    Fifty percent pain,
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!

  • These errors appear to me to me some time ago when I was double logging on two browsers. Indeed, an error occurs at some refreshs.

I do not claim to know the depths but I quote similar problems from others

...It happens when you call a file usually by " include, require or fopen " and PHP couldn't find the file or have not enough permission to load the file....

  • i think the latest changes improved the situation
at least i didnt experience any probs since that
