    Hey there! Top Squadron Event! Sunday 02.12.2012 Evening 19:30 pm Servertime!





    There gonna be 4 Teams (in Better amounts of Players even 5 teams) fighting each other in Sol, Planet Earth. There gonna be 1 or 3 Carriers for obstacles that will allow you to hide and fly around the Carriers having a nice feel of fighting! (watchout: Flak Turrets :P ) The Carriers will sure try as hard as possible to make the Fighting Area look like a Battle!(Of course without harming you TOO much)


    The Rules are like Top gun, if a Team dies it'll wait at Planet Earth for the Next round that'll be announced by the Event Managers! DON'T ENGAGE after you died without having permission from an Event Manager! This whole idea is also trying to Simulate an ASF/CSF battle, a nice practice. Not only ASF/CSF but also practicing with Players in situations like this. I'm sure some of you know the feeling when you enter X-3034 and there are like 2 - 5 Battleships shooting Flak's around and maybe even hit you because you re hostile. In those Situation it's realy hard to PvP against others, maybe with this you'll get your Skills in mid-War combat improved!


    The Prizes gonna be high, because of the Difficulty of the Event and due First time:


    1st Team 40 000 000 $


    2nd Team 10 000 000 $


    3rd Team 7 500 000 $


    4th Team 5 000 000 $

  • So, if a player decides to come with a battleship, he's not supposed to kill everything he sees, right ? Just fire arround but not totally kill soembody (which wouldn't be fair for the team's balance).


    Depending on the first question... are the battleships engageable ? Or you really just have to avoid them while focusing on other teams ?

    depending on what you mean by Player decides to come with a BAttleship, that's not even an option for the Participians :P . The Battle Area will be in Event Managers hands, in this case it's Carriers. The Team (coming to your other question) just needs to focus on the Other team and avoid the "Carriers". The goal is to be the Best Fighting Team/ Squadron in this Event and you can mostly prove this in battle situations. War between 2 Factions, imagine 1 of them got a Battleship. This is also a Practice in situations like this to JUST FOCUS on the Target and avoid as good as possible the Battleship. That's why Top Squadron.

  • Allright, that means (in the way you said it) you already have the 3, or at least 2 EMs in Carriers to make as obstacles (since only one, yours, is too easely overrun by 4 entire teams, not enough space for them and too easely focused), and that those EMs have their Carrier chars prepared :D


    I'll help making sure people on the server are aware of this event, since not everyone comes on the forums to see this.

  • Yes there are, like me, but he didn't mention needing any other EM support (yet), so the rest of us can simply participate and have fun :D

  • Oooooops..... *coughs* ok guys I think we need to change the time, or maybe even the Date... I think Sunday evening wont be able for me, so I m gonna post it here. Is it possible for you guys Earlier that day? Maybe tell me a good time to host the event... We COULD make it on Saturday too but i m not sure because some of the people can't play on Saturday, most of them play on Sunday or Friday evening... Any suggestions? And I need to know if you Event Managers will be available on these days. :sehrgut:

  • Earlier on Sunday is ok, there're still many people there. Especially if they know that there's an event at that time.



    If somebody thinks a 40 mill top prize instead of 20 mills one would attract more people, we can do that :D

  • Earlier on sunday, mor like afternoon or late afternoon, 15:00 to 17:00, perhaps something in between ?

  • Yeah, it's not the first event of this type, but the first in the serie, so double top awards would do good. Just the top ones, not the rest of the prizes, to motivate ppl to use their brains and a lil effort for it, not just participating and getting 10 mills. (The event is for fun, and skills, but be serious, no one would complain against better prizes to feel they spent that time correctly/ussefully).


    I will pay those extra 20 mills for each player in the winner group, no worries about the funding.



    So, earlier on Sunday ? would fit Russian timezones, US timezones... and European one, ofc.

  • Michael, I m totaly with you in this thought. Actually I even mentioned it on the description (Read Top Squadron). My attention for this event is to Improve your Fighting skills in these Combat Situations, not just participiating and get money! ^^

  • uhm guys... uh.. Those ammounts are not just for the Team... I meant 40 mil per Player in the Winner Squadron! and 20 mil for each player in 2nd Place (squadron). So Thanks Michael for your offer to help, what about the other Event Managers!? Gonna help me with this?

    Blade, I think no one misunderstood that detail.


    But I said, I only plan to double the top award, where the rest would keep staying the same, to make people try their best, and also see who has potential. If you think it's better doubling every award, say it :D


    So, 1rst group, each player gets 40 mill.
    2nd group 10 mill each (or 15m)
    3rd group 7.5 mill each (or 10 M)
    4th group 5 mill each

  • Allright I think your idea of doubling the First groups prize is a good idea... And yes you re right, the people should get their.... *coughs* moving and show a lil skill! Let's see... No the other awards gonna stay just the First's award gonna be doubled! Thanks for your offer Mike, What I need to know now IS who can Organize a Dreadnought on that Event? (Talking to the EM's and GR's) The more we have, the more the BattleArea gets interesting :)

  • Hey, counting that you also called for GRs, it'd be interesting to have 2 Dreadnaught/Carriers like yours and 1 Yggdrasil (not counting the railgun, but it has more life so it wouldn't "accidentally" get killed). I can offer a BS, normal or the Drasil.

  • By the way, The Date got clear, it's Sunday Evening! and if the Yggdrasil have Coalition Flak Turrets than ok, cause I have another Idea :D We gonna shoot around with Flak turrets (Best is Coalition ones so we don't need to refill), and in these Flaks the player need to fight each other!
