FreeLancer 2 By Chris Reberts ??? There's going to be an anoucement on October.

Let's wait how much of which game will be part of it (he forgot Homeworld ), when it will be released (if ever),
and what parts of it YOU can actually play without buying additional feature (ofc ONLY with in-game creds ).

Of course he's capable of doing a great (visually) game, even though the multiplayer experience can't be like on Freelancer since it will be something like Halo, with instance rooms instead of servers, it will look great.

My worry is about if he had enough money, and we can play SC as a normal game, or it will be like Diablo 2 or such, where you have to pay to play on it, even singleplayer...

HE HAS THE MONEY! As I understood from the German Trailer he had his achieved goal, and with the rest of the money he even can work on the Addjustments he listed, more things will be added! It's Cryengine 3, I say it will be a success.

Well I think Windows 8 Will give us advantage, as I read, windows 8 are pimping up even 5 years old PC's, working better and a lil faster. We'll see and I think till that Releases, we all will have better PC's, RIGHT? haha What I think is nice in this game, I watched german trailer, it has many options like You can have heavier ships like Carriers, Cruisers and Destroyer (that's all I heared dunno if bigger ships) and you can have wingmans that have an AI function, you can actually teach them Formations and Attacking and stuffs, the nice part also is that you don't even need to fly always on your ship, you can, example, say Arrow I hop into your Bombers, or Fighter I dunno, Turret and you fly the ship So I'll be on that ships turret (Also Capital Ships have same function I think). The other one is that you can Fly like Freelancer from one planet to other or from one base to other or from one Capital Ship to other, and the landing's are just awesome, everywhere (even on planets) you can simply walk around with your selfmade Char! There is also Co-op modus what I would realy like to play with Crossfire Community! lots of Fun! I just watched how he walked inside that Carrier, it's hilarious! That Carrier alone made of 7 million Polygons and the Characters with 100 000 Polygons and the Fighters with 300 000 polygons Cryengine 3 shows again how successfull it is hehe. You can actually walk inside the Carrier and maybe look out of the window and the Players inside a Ship can see you! You can kinda wave back and stuff Even on your fighter you see inside the Window, great work I say.

It's gonna be Open Universe, so I can hardly imagine that it's gonna be Something like Star Conflict or Black Prophecy. I would say something mixed from Star Wars, Freelancer, Wing Commander and the X - Series (X, X-2, X-3)...

i seriously doubt Win 8 pimps up 5 yo PCs, well, at least Win 7 doesn't, compared to Win XP

There gonna be Transports too and Mining Ships. The Biggest ship purchasable atm is a Destroyer and Cruiser I think, nothing bigger, BUT that's ok! At least Capital Ships are available :3 But there might be bigger ships, don't have more info so let's wait.

I know don't remind me but here is another high hopes idea which probably won't come....but I did smile a little bit when this idea came over...maybe a combination between a upgraded wing commander /freelancer combination where all carakters and game play combined together........................ok .... unrealistic....was just a thought

Not sure if that's a prediction... since he said from the beggining that it's a combination of the "best" of the games he was in, especially Wing Commander.

That's not entierly true Michael....I came up with the idea mostly from the quotes from everyone in the beginning of this thread ......It starts I believe on thread #11 with op....here are some of his quotes....

Actually they dont even know what game they can expect... freelancer, wing commander... something else..... will it be a sandbox game or will it be mission based?
The meaning of "you can not please everybody" will for sure hit most of the people there.
Next to that do people forget that Chris Roberts is not a guarantee for success. They hype him like he is the only person on the planet which can create a good game. Lets face it Starlancer was never a successful game and Freelancer only became successful after Chris Roberts left the dev team. We would a gameplay like in EVE Online if these changes were not done in Freelancer.
And if I think about his movies... well no... i dont want to think about that..... urghh.... plastic Kilrathies.... ships which "fall off a ramp" in open space.

I understand the underlined sentence above as not knowing what is coming... FL , wing commander or a mix of all games.....that's how I got my vision.

It's a mix between Games, Freelancer + Wing Commander etc. You just trying to give him a Bad reputation at all cost! Just ffs, wait till he releases his damn Game than Comment pls!!!!!!!! Some people just don't make sense with their comments... If they hate 1 Person than they hate that Person for a life time, why do you complane about the game just because you hate the Developer!? Just let him do the game and if the Game is OK Just LIKE IT!!!! Don't hate that game because of the Developer... Now you probably gonna say " I didn't mean the Developer, I meant the game" Well whatever I don't care...
