the development will be done on the internal CF dev boards

Modelling always was a key element for FL mods.
CF was able to make use of many already done models but we also have many unique models in the mod.
I personally would love to see more newly made 3d models in CF.

So we will focus on replacing some older 3d ship models or improving their look.
    This also includes better textures.
Sounds complicated... well yeah... but it actually isnt for those which are willing to invest a few hours to learn.
To my surprise everything turned out to be easier than I remembered from the old modeling tools that i once used. Today 3d modeling is relative simple.

We will also design a noticable number of new stations.
e.g. new kinds of shipyards in Sirius, new outposts, Trading posts, Military stations, Defence platforms. (all in the style of FL)
Next to that we will create new stuff for the Coalition... new Stations which fit better to their style.
And of course we will need some replacements for some DK solars -> i am not happy that the DK hypergate does not look organic enough so we will create stuff that fits better to the current look of the DK stations.
We also will create new 3d models for hybrid stations showing how the DKs evolved.

What elso is on our todo list?
new bars and cityscapes for the Coalition
    a DK cityscape
    planetary environments including outposts

everyone willing to help is welcome

Only dead fish swim with the stream.
Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

  • Well, I guess anyone can learn, having a LOT of free time.

The buttons are usually self explaining, and testing arround with them can be a very efficient way to learn to use a program. You can't screw anything.

There already are tutorials, even on this same forum, of tutorials, and even some (older) tools. But there're also many tutorials on the internet, but you can till ask Freelancer-only details, like importing and exporting models to the right fromat.
