  • Hi

i have been saving up for a big ship and just got the harbinger class bretonia destroyer. i was a bit gutted when i bought it that it dint come with any guns, so i flew off found somewhere that sells battleship turrets. i was going to do some trading to get enough money for a gun but found that my cargo hold is over half full !!

i have sold all old equipment from previous ship i have 2 pilots transfered across in cargo hold i have sold them and bought them back again to see if it refreshed the cargo hold cap. but it didnt

HELP!!! it will take me a lifetime to get 10 battleship guns at 8 mil each ! with a cargo hold hat is stuck over half full. how do i fix the cargo hold ? was my ship suposed no come with no guns!? i am well gutted and stuck now.

if nothing can be done about the cargo hold then could admin work some magic and restore me back to my old ship and all the credits i saved ? before i got this bloody battleship.

i would like to keep the ship if possible if i can fix the cargo issue and start to save up for a gun one at a time tradeing.

    Help please
    thanks

  • You should still have more cargo hold space than a normal fighter.

Battleships got edited to avoid people trading in them while standing in a safe ship (even if there are players who consider BSes as a weak target ).

But OP (the admin, SWAT_OP-R8R) is too busy for now to edit players' accounts.

Being on the server, gives you a big profit, you can always ask other players for help with finding the guns, loaning some money, there will be players who'll even gift you enough money for buying a set of normal guns. (there are Advanced BS guns as well).

  • dam wish i new that before. my cargo is 100 units on the battleship. my old ship was 250units.
i hope i can convince someone to loan cash for guns or theres not much point me playing :( would be better to start from scratch :(

my ship cost 41mil and sells on for half a mil ! so i cant even sell it and get my old ship back.

    thanks for reply :)

have few spare bttleship turrets on you by any chance ? lol or anyone else ?

  • I temporarly can't get online for today. But if we meet next year ( 2 days more :D ) I can help you with it, I still have a bunch of unmounted battleship turrets from older chars.

Anyway, there do are many more people out there who can help you if you ask ^^ But asking in-game will give you better results than the forum.

And starting with a new char (you can have up to 9 chars in your account/FL ID ) is a very good thing, sooner or later you will need more fighters, some trader-only ships for making money, some big daddy ship, etc.

  • You can easely get that money after making a new trader char and asking other players for GOOD trade routes, as you shouldn't trade for a month just for 40 mills, there are routes which gives you that in few rounds (if you have a train, like Soulforge).
You can also make a fighter char, and get paid for helping others in escorting their trains, or participating in race events (or other events, but in this one you don't need a top equipped ship) where you get 5-8 mills just for participating and being the last one in arriving. With a fighter, you can also go hunting NPCs for their pods, as selling them at a prison gives you a LOT of $$ cash, the hardest the NPCs, the more money you get for their pods. But you need a well equipped fighter for CF NPCs. It will also help you with your fighting skills, which you'll need when challenging other players, as that's one of the big reasons why we all play together ;)
You can also go mining, with a simple freighter, even if you have a Miner ship. If you find a good spot, it can bring enough money without having to put yourself in danger.

You can also participate in forum-type events, like one of the 2 screenshot events going on now, like this:
Event: Photo BEAUTY Contest, Big prize = 25 +10+5 Mills, New Year's edition !
And get 25 mills just for making a nicer screenshot than the rest of the participants.
And the 2nd ongoing event, PHOTO CONTEST -- WIN 12+6+2 mil
In where you just have to find the same spot in Crossfire as Husker's screenshot, and you instantly win.

    etc

  • speaking of ship problems -- don't know if that has been reported before. The Titan ship is somewhat messed up as half the time projectiles just go through the ship or rather don't actually hit it and just narrowly pass the ship.

I noticed that yesterday during TDM with player sucubious...

  • I suppose everyone noticed it when slaughtering some Corsairs in Omega/Omicron systems. Some other vanilla FL ships can also do this trick (e.g. Legionnaire and Centurion, though they go down much easier due to a weaker hull), which makes me believe the reason explained in this thread.

  • and why would vanilla ships which have not been edited act like that?

Only dead fish swim with the stream.
Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

  • all ships have stages it is to be destroyed but the corsair ships and the zoner ship have the X design and design treads so that mean hitting the ship is especially hard the only way to destroy those ships is to attack the wings BC the game uses stages of destruction treads so you cannot kill them to quickly .. if you want a quick kill try outcasts theur ships go down pretty easy allthough they have alot more firepower its pretty easy killing

  • Outcast and Corsairs are the same, barely different, counting the difference with Crossfire's new NPCs...

i,m not sure of that statement as in missions i find certain ships of the corsair put up a better fight and seem harder to kill, and i don,t mean they can,t be killed just have better avoidance in battle :)

  • ok not as bad as i thought.
    thanks

i was planning on using just one character to start as a fighter then trade then get a big battleship but maybe i should start another character for trade.
if the offer of some guns for the battleship i have is still on yes please as i can then enjoy flying round doing some shooting and i will pay you back as i get some credits.

    cheers :)

  • I was online today (and going back now), and noone asked me about BS guns, is your in-game name "spacetrout" or is different ?

My name is the same, Michael.
