What the F! do I do now?

    First let me say thanks to Michael & Forlon for their help earlier that info really helped me keep moving along, and this ship (Saracen) freak'n rocks!


    Now I don't mean to have my hand held through this game, but I've explored, read news, and talked to people from Earth to Planet Crossfire, and haven't been able to get any new missions. I finished the Dam'Kavash mission, and it said "Get a Job" after, so I found my why back to X-3043 (After Mapping all of the DK system) and worked, worked, worked. Finally after checking my stats I say that I had made enough for my next mission, but nothing happened. I have the Data Disks they say go to Planet CF for next mission, but nothing happens there either. My mission status just says "Mission" that's it, i'm at level 59-Veteran and I'm wondering what level do I have to be at for the data disk mission to start so I can continue on with that.


    I actually thought about selling them 8.5 Mil :rolleyes: for both, but I figured that would ruin the mission from starting up again.


    Please Help!


    Mean while I'll just keep killing and selling pods. ?( :S

    If you got the Dom Kavash Device, and Then got the "Get a job" message, with a text saying there's a new hypergate getting built in Altair space, that means you finished the extended campaign.


    You can still go and search the half done secret Coalition's hypergate ^^

    Even though the data disks say take them to Planet CF for information and a new mission, the CF extended game is basically over.


    And if so my question is, aside from exploring all these systems which I'm still going to do anyway because there freak'n awesome, is there another Mod I can add to FL or should I just go to MP from here...I've read in the forum about something called Vanilla, what is that about?

    How to tell this best and short:


    SP is perfect for show ppl CF history and offer safe way how to explore and try things.


    MP is not limited by story, you can create here your own story and this all with real ppl. The more interaction with others, the more fun for you. All it depend about your imagination and how you want present yourself. Ofc learn how works things in MP need some time, but if you will be active and ask ppl, then you learn fast and shortly you will see more possible ways how to play (and have fun) as you can imagine now.


    Notes:
    vanilla is basic Freelancer
    for 1.9 are planned updates but this will come in future.

    Thanks for the info, I also got word the there is a lot of hidden things to find in SP, I already found Death Valley, and I read and heard about something in Nephele, and the Altair system, but yes I plan to explore SP and start MP.

    Ready for MP I am indeed, but I have one more question for SP.
    I hear people talking about a gate in Nephele that leads to the Altair or DK system. I've mapped all that I can see, and aside from the absolute corners of this map I have yet to find another jump gate. Is this hidden gate only in MP, or do I need to be more thorough.

    I already knew that route, I thought from what I was reading in the forum that there was a jump gate hidden in Nephele straight to Altair...I guess I was wrong.

    If there'd be a huge gate arround Nephele, you would see it easely. You can see objects at 30 Kms far, depending on your res and options, can be more. But it's a bit harder in Inner Core ^^

    Basically what I'm getting is the answer is no, so I'll travel to Altair and search for the Coalition gate there, Thanx.

    I played SP 1.82 and one of the best experiences of a trip to Altair. For me the best part of CF SP. Well balanced, dangerous, requires certain skills ...pure 10 for that part.

    I agree whole heatedly, in fact I'm almost to Triangulum as we speak.

    I'm just exploring and fully mapping systems that I only partially did during game play, and the system in which Triangulum lays is next.


    ...and If I remember correctly at the end of the SP game while in the DK system, it mentions something about a Coalition gate being built it Antair, which is also the sector of space in which Triangulum lays.
