@ Op - the programme I use combines many factors from the .ini files. The three figures I posted show speed and turning rate - generally speaking, the higher the first figure, the higher the speed of the ship, the second and third show turn rate, second should be low, third should be high. I can also read nudge force and strafe force. The Redemption was never top dog ship before I got it and use it's dynamics to make it so. I have never asked for a top dog ship, just one that is on a par with others.
@ Riebens - the programme I have might save you a huge amount calculation time, mate. It also shows the Redemption way down the performance league table - pm me if you want it.

dude, there's a ship that is with 6 guns too (well, I think it was with 6 guns, called Bastard ,lol ... play the 1st / 2nd mission of the CF campaign and you'll see it -> the one that King is driving) , but I have no idea where to find it. You may wanna check it out if you want to search for it
PS: Oh and to start the CF campaign, you need to finish the last mission of the original campaign , if you don't have the save, I can send it to you
PS2: And a very good idea Riebens , if you succeed of convincing Michael, that would be great(cuz most likely, he will come up with an excuse that he's busy or something like that).

@ Op - it has been right and worked correctly on every mod I have played on, so why should it be wrong on this one ? Any inaccuracies on it are drawn from the mods .ini files, if those files are correct, the programme is correct.
By the way - just to show I do not want a "Top dog" ship, my ideal ship on this mod would be the Horizon, if it had 6 lvl 10 slots and performance of similar ship like the Saracen.
Why ? - Because it is an Order ship, my chosen rp base (merc on this mod) and it is the most beautiful ship on the mod. -

Well mate , Firedragon , if I were you, I would have already started to get used to a slower speed, because that's one of the most important things in the fights. Once you got used to it, the speed won't matter much to you , because you'll have the necessary skills to defend yourself , the speed is just a boost in your skills.

The "ship" isn't in Daedalus anymore? WTF....I need to find it now. ( Invading {LP} space tonight ).
@Crysis: Yes the pern00bene (persephone) was quick and combined with that 1 shot 1 kill missile "trick" ( exploit), many people thought it was skill. Not anymore. With the inertia and drag being put in place ( I like this), combat is going to change for the better.
@FD: of the 260+ ships, we can find you one that suits your needs somewhere, just look at it as an excuse to explore the entire galaxy. If you want I will join you in the adventure since being a cop is pointless these days. So here's to the new future.... RPE! ( retired police exploration )
@Op: The only problem I found with the new flight dynamic is in a train, where navigating an asteroid field is next to impossible ( took 25 minutes to get through Tau 23 ) due to the bouncing off of rocks and being thrown 5k off course each hit and when trying to dock at some jump gates, the train would over shoot the docking phase by 2k due to the inertia slow down.

So that was it when I got killed several times like that eh? ... lol, I thought it was a lucky shot.
Anyway, since the Persephone's speed is slowed down a lot, the people won't quit by searching a replacer for it and they will use speed over skills again (the same old story). And once they do , they will combine it again with the noob 3/3 setup + torps and here we go, the same old story.
Eh, I miss the good old days...

@ Op - Since when has trying to enable balanced game play - i.e. ships for gun fighters as well as missile fighters been shit ?????
@ Crysis - I don't care about the slower speed as long as it is on an equal basis with other ships of same class, cargo, hull etc ...
@ Gunny - thanks for the offer mate, but I have looked at (I think, because of course I may be wrong) every performance ship on this mod and they are ALL 4 + 2. -

Then I have to agree with Op about the forumula, only because I know there are at least 6 ships in CF with a 6 x 10 setup, with 2 cd / torp slots that are nice to use and always have been since 1.5. Instead of throwing in the towel, lets find them.

So, if people had the choice of which ship to use - laggy missile ship or unlaggy gun fighter, they would choose the ship with guns and server lag would drop, but they would have a CHOICE which they do not have now.
Notice that when I detailed my ideal ship - it was NOT a top performance ship. It is right if the laggy missile ships have a small performance advantage to compensate - that is fair and balanced.@ Riebens - yes, that is about it ship wise and they are all very slow.

Few more missing from that list and the one I "see" in my memory isn't on the list.....this is making me nuts. I'm on a mission to find it now..
Also 4 x 2 mounts are just as effective. I don't have an issue with 2 gatts / 2 warsys taking down a NPC or player at all rather quickly with that set up. I do have 2 missiles and on my explorer char I have the 4 guns mentioned and 2 skyblasters. No problems.
