  • Aleks182, cloaking is most likely only going to be available to all pilots when CF1.9 is released, until then, you can at least stockpile energy crystals. You'll need it for the cloaking device as it's fuel, but do take note, the Silver Arrows do have a trade monopoly on them. ;):D


    I also suspect from OP's previously mentioned thoughts about cloaking devices in CF 1.9, is that you'll need to complete a quest for it as well to activate it or get access to it.


    Regardless, sit back, enjoy the game and wait for CF 1.9 along with cloaks like the rest of us. 8)

  • what OP means is that he's trying to find a solution to place the cloaking hardpoint on everyone's ship without corrupting them or being forced to make a total char wipe and start from 0. And ofc, editing manually all thousands of chars is out of question ^^

    CF 1.9 was not yet released and there are people already claiming monopolys :D:D

    orion : i fear Raven is right on this one... our brilliant idea to monopolize crystals has to fall in darkness :( we'll just restrict access to the hypergate and IC instead ^^ nothing stops us from imposing a "visitor's fee" since it goes thru our home and WE make the rules there :P And ofc we can shoot on pirates transporting crystals anywhere cause rules allow us to shoot "notoriously known criminals" (licensed or clan pirates) without even a warning or catching them committing a crime... (this also counts for mercs helping them at that moment :D)


    Personnal opinion : The Monopoly paragraph in the rules simply expressed something ppl did before and can still do now : protect their own interests over their foes. That it no longers exists doesnt stop anyone from playing RP : pirates may keep restricting whiskey for them and fight smugglers who try to trade it or cops may be restricting access to their ships/technology to avoid giving a chance to criminals... You want a trade route, you can fight those in your way any time if you got a legitimate RP reason IMO. Just watch out for your public rep... Rules prevent abuse, not using your imagination...

  • Gentlemen, I've already heard enough about the aforementioned trade monopoly BS to last me a lifetime already on this forum and on the SA's.


    I'm not here to dig up old arguments or problems, I'm just repeating what the Fleet Admiral (i.e. you Sam) established months ago.


    With that said, if you wish to change, modify or get rid of them altogether Sam, that's fine too. I'll stand corrected in that case.


    Anyway, enough detouring of Aleks182's thread and ENOUGH talk of trade monopolies already, before OP locks this thread too.

    Eheheh i remenber such thing a year ago, but on other system 8). I dont have any problem with that but dont forget u are putting limits to the only doorway to Inner core.
    Thats bad becouse some people may never visit IC and see such beautifull systems becouse they have to "pay to see it". Even so good luck with that :P

    As of right now...All unclanned players have Transit rights (Correct me if I'm wrong here, Arrow), and other clans are dealt with according to our current status with that clan.


    Personally...if ANYONE asks me politely to pass through...I'll let them...for free...unless I have specifically ordered not to allow that player transit rights.


    At any rate...


    No monopoly on Energy Crystals...but transit rules in and out of the IC might be revised...and I can bet that people won't be overcharged any more than they get charged for any other typical RP encounter.

    Btw. the new System of not spamming and flaming other ppls threads else changing every post is not counting for yourself and your Clan Arrow is it? I can´t find the connection between the modding of cloaking devices, Clan Monopolies and stupid treats :).


    Here would be a good point to moderate imO - at least a better one than touching foreign Clan System Rule Threads without permission.

    Any player has transit rights into Omega-3
    (except for CSF, but IC is not a part of ASF/CSF area anyway)


    A hail stating intentions before entering is always appreciated though :)


    We will watch for illegal activities within our system of course, but if you can refrain from piracy/smuggling
    while in Omega-3 then there is no problem with passing through.

  • @DW : was going off topic indeed but not from nowhere : it came from ORION's explanation of how Cloak will be "fueled" (crystals) and then it started going a little off---- my apologies, i should have locked that thread yesterday before more interventions when the question was answered....
