computer crashed

    hey there folks... i noticed this morning that my computer was having troubles so i went to back up my Account ID and my computer decided to "puke" and i went to turn it back on and it would not load to the windows load screen...it just tells that there is a corrupt sys. 32 file and it doesn't seem to be able to repair but i was just wondering and hoping, could maybe an admin copy my old character info over to my new character?
    my name is the same in game as it is on the forum!
    i know this can be done generally for freelancer but it could be different for crossfire. that is why i am asking!!!

    Corrupted System32 file and not able to load the Windows means that your PC is ready for a Windows Reinstall. And the character is safe, if you have your Code ID written somewhere, just type it again by repleacing the given ID with yours and it all should work as nothing happened at all.

    i have reformatted and installed win xp...
    i was curious to know if an "admin" would be able to do that because i really really dont want to have to go through all that work again, just after getting my character up to par!!! one mod i use to play, i know can do the copy to new character thing the player also had to at least undock and re-dock before the admin could copy the old character info over to the new one!

    What do you want exactly? I don't get it. ... Your character is safe , just use your Account ID Code(where the character is located) by repleacing the given ID after the installation of Crossfire and you will be able to play with it again. Just make sure that you have that code written somewhere. ;]

    heres what im saying..
    i was in the middle of writing my account id down and checking my email and then my computer totally puked on me! and i was going to just re-install windows because im pretty sure my computer was infected.
    now heres what i mean
    in another mod i use to play, they admi(s) were able to copy my old character file into my new character file but what i needed to do before they could do this, i had to enter the game, undock from planet/station and then re-dock so my character was saved... and then they would copy and delete the old character and paste my old character info into my new character file!
    but obviously, no one here knows how to do that and its not a big deal... so no worries, dont think about this to hard... hehe

    CF has a lot of female fighters, so be careful when making any gender based comments. :bouch:


    I would love to see one day in CF a female only clan, kinda like the Golden C's.

    It's nice to see a growing number of female pilots join the Crossfire mod over the past few years, even the Silver Arrows have two female pilots in it's ranks now and both are from France no less. :thumbup::D
