SWAT Portal Opera 10.50+ issue and further updates

    The Update to Opera 10.50 came with a full rework of Operas java engine which in the end has lead to serious problems here on the forum (mainly with the wysiwyg editor) and many other scripts on the net. Today i have installed a small workaroud to fix this issue. Theoretically everything should run flawlessly again just like it used to be before Opera introduced the new version.


    Can somebody who does use the latest Opera version confirm that?



    Next to the Opera fix I have updated +100 Forum and Portal plugins today for more compatible, more flexible, more secure and more user friendly use. Many new features got introduced. Within the next few hours the final plugins will be installed and all Portal areas will be reactivated again.

    i had a bit time today and found out that an update is announced that will fix the opera issue soon

    Is the fix for the portal or a new version of Opera?

    There still are some problems with opera. I`m using 10.62 and the big
    issue is that one cannot risk posting something with this browser. I
    tried half an hour ago to start a thread and I had to switch to firefox
    to do that. That`s because the post on opera would appear scrambled and
    all messed up. I noticed that the source code information appeared along
    with the normal text. The last update done to SWAT did solve some
    issues but some still are present.

    The reply I just made previously here was done using opera. That was not the format I used, as you can guess. For this one I`m using firefox

    i cant see a prob with opera
    you probably have just not activated bbcodes or html when creating the post

    The HTML feature was not activated but BBCode was. The format I used was a regular Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.15, nothing special. Ok, let`s see if it works now. Edit: yep, it does. Thx.

    HTML feature is a part of the problem?I ask u cos i use Opera 2!

    Share ur solution with us, same way as u go when asking the question. ;)

    I didn`t know about HTML and BBCode but I see that this was the problem. It works fine now that I activated the HTML. If you have it disabled, you should check it and see if it works.
