NOOB QUESTIONS ABOUT MULTIPLAY

I have never ever before played a spacesim on multiplayer online, as perhaps a lot of other people, who are interested about spacesims in general and Crossfire in speciality. [SIZE=1](Maybe ONE reason for all the SP questions.)[/SIZE]

Therefore I start this thread no to enlight me alone but hopefully giving other NOOBS like me a first stop to look at.

1. Do I HAVE to purchase a smuggler/pirat/police-license at some point of the game or can I go on as a Freelancer
with doing [SIZE=1](and shooting at[11])[/SIZE] whatever I want to endlessly, until I decide to take on a role as pirat/smuggler/cop etc.?

2. Do I HAVE to become member of a clan at some point of the game ?

3. What are eventually the restriction upon my gaming, if I become member of a clan ?

4. What are the ingame "goodies" for my play, if I become member of a clan ?

5. How do I pay "taxes" if any other player on the server [SIZE=1](with the according right to, hopefully)[/SIZE] is getting after me or I want to enter a clan-owned system ?

6. If a player WITHOUT such "rights" by roleplay if after me, how do I call the server-police ?

7. Whom I allowed to shoot at as a licenceless Freelancer and what are the consequenzes - beside being
hunted by him and his clanmates and according changes of my reputation ?

This is a first set of questions, that came to me

There are described about roleplay and level. As freelancer you may have different licences on different your characters and try all RP's.

You cant be forced to join clan if you dont want to, you may enjoy your game as freelancer as long as you wnat.

Every clan have different relations to other clans so you need to read clan rules before you choosing to join.

When you join clan you joining a group of same thinking players. They will always support you in figts, help vs your RP oponents and ingame, you will have your homesystem and more active RP, however you will lose some freedom as you will need to fit to your clan role and restrictions (if there are any) so its not fast decision to what clan to join.

If you are taxed you may run or may fight, choice is yours, you may ask for police help aswell. About entering clan systems, read this system rulkes first, some clans let fre passage, others want you to ask permission or pay small fee.

If some player violate server rules you may ask clan member for help ar report him to swat staff (i may be wrong on this one, sry)

All is writen in RP rules what i gave link in first question. And yes, if you tax a cop his clan mates can help him and start chase you, pirates rarely pay taxes, they prefer good fight instead of loosing money so its not predictable how situation will go after you decide to tax . As for shooting you may shoot your RP oponents freely (or collect bounty if your mercs) but they can shoot at you aswell.

When I instal FLMM 1.31, it comes with several smaller mods.

Can I scrap them before instaling CF there, or makes CF any use of them ?

1. How do I chat ingame ?

When I hit "Y" - the whole chatmenu shows up, I click on the person I want to talk to .... and then ?
By now I type "/help--enter", then the windoe shows up for typing text.

Is there a possibility for a "general announcement" ?

Is there a shortcut for getting the typing-window other than "/help--enter" ?

2. Mainly when I'm "a bit busy" in free, reddish populated space, there pops up a [SIZE=3]yellow icon[/SIZE] on the left side of the upper middle menu-bar. Couldn't really make out was it is and it's often too fast gone again for me to take a screenshot.

What is it and what is means for me ?

3. When I got killed ingame and "respawn[SIZE=1](being revived at my last docking point ? correct understanding of respawn ?)[/SIZE]"

What will I loose :
the equipment I had mounted when killed ?
the equipment I had "in store" (non-mounted guns and launchers, ammunition, bots) ?
the cargo I was carrying ? [SIZE=1](since you buy them like a cargo)[/SIZE] Can licenses get lost ?

Questions about level-system
On opening the reputation window (F8) there isn't a requirement for reaching the next level stated, as in SP.
Also I've found that on loosing funds (buying expensive equipment, paying bribes) my reached level can go down [SIZE=1](also a difference to SP)[/SIZE]

question a)
Is there somewhere a list of how many bucks a certain level requires ? (i.e. : 200k level 19, 300k level 20, etc.)

question b)
does your level only depends on money or also on number of kills, number of mission, number of found jumpholes etc. ?

Question about clans
The list of clans on the server-site doesn't contain all clans and seems not fully up-to-date (i.e. clan-systems), as I've found by surfing the boards here[SIZE=1](perhaps not thoroughly enough ?)[/SIZE].

hasn't been answered upon what I intended.

HOW does the payment takes place ?

i.e.:
I'm flying happily my way, lets say in Vega to the prison for getting rid of all the complaining "pod-people" I've picked up in free-space due to my generosity.
Suddenly I get kicked out of the trade line and there is this SMG-, FALLEN-, LP- or whatever other piratguy with this mega-killer-ship.

What happens now?
Do I get a chat-message or pops a window up, as if a npc-pirates wants me to drop this or that cargo ?
If i get the chat-message and as I'm shivering in my boots WANT to pay whatever he requests [SIZE=1](as long as I have enough cash to pay him.)[/SIZE],
what I actually have to do getting HIS account filled up ?

Even, the same stats are shown on our CF Toolbar I couldn't include other better stats

you transfer the stuff to an other player,
he hold this while you switch your char
and then give he back to your other char^^
(or not, its an risk )

one ID can have 5 chars
with 2 comp you can play with 2 different IDs,
but an PVP with yourself are not easy lol
