Honest......but stupid question, what is universe chat?

messages from one player to every other player on the server

well abuse of the system channel is not good and those involved should be dealt with but i would just like to point out that we cannot RP without system chat. it will be difficult to RP against a pirate in a system if i can't chat with them.

i don't mean this as a joke or trying to instigate anything. i just wondered if not being able to conduct RP was taken under consideration before removing that feature. is there another way to communicate?

That kind of a feature that's useable by everyone usually is a recipe for destruction. It's good for event managers to run events but it is also a very loveable mechanic for the Trolls.

Universal chat usable by everyone lol just if that everyone is SP admin or cheated the game.

Well, this decision may have it's reasons... and hope more than one side of the point/view, and not just one side.

oki my dayly "hi @ all" by coming are an little pall but dont think thats the reason^^

the server need the universe chat for the EM and the SP!
if one SP or EM abuse this rights cancel his rights, but not all

we need group chat for events and battles,
and we need sys chat for all RP

All I can think of are reasons why it would be a disaster for the server.

I agree with Lucy and Ryder, SP and EM should have universe chat to speed things up.

System chat shutdown would proove fatal for RP.

Good and only way atm, to warn individuals to stop abusing the public channel for the personal bickering.^^

If i understood, this is a temporary measure.

I never once saw any rule about console chat usage. I do know rules for chat and follow them, but I never read or at least do not remember at all ever seeing a rule for console channel usage.

In fact, I believed that it was given too accounts.. Either way if we lost Group or System chat I would say why even try m8? Why try too get people too stick around long enough so they realize the awesomeness of CF? Sometimes they have troubles and need help, or sometimes someone doesn't think of reading the rules.. so I tell them some and to read them all. Why think up new ideas for RP interaction, why set bounties on my chars for the mercs too have a nice hunt? Why commit myself in part too help in my own ways for the betterment of CF Universe?
Here is the finale: When I would not be able to have them organized and smooth running with orders, instructions, etc.. when I would need too type it up each time too each player.. I would have too not be in the action. Even though I had originally designed these ideas for me being a target in some.

Anyway I think this is mostly over my head and I wasn't online EVER too see any abuse of it and I am on pretty often, especially lately. In the new age we are in, I wouldn't be surprised if people blew something out of size or if once again a few people ruin something which could have been awesome..

I wonder why I get a bad feeling/intuition, when I read your latest reply OP-R8R, ofc it is your server so do as you will. Reality and existence may just repeat again, or maybe we take break and then realize how to do it right this time! lol Really I have left my food sitting for 1.5 hours.. just rediculas.. anyway bye for now and I hope the people who caused this feel bad about it and seek forgiveness and never would do anything like it again!

Rules need to be known in order too be followed, the individuals whom break the rules repeatedly should be dealt with harshly, if mistake or without knowing warning. I still do not understand why we still use group is "punished" or "preventative measurements are taken" for individuals actions.

Majority, Minority, 3 people, 1 person with 1 unwitting victom, all sorts of stories, either way i protest against removal of System and Group channels, the current solution I disagree with in part, but do not fight against, so for now.
