I ban Son of Angmar 'cos I was escorting ANybIS to the Inner Core recently. He left DP and is now a cop, so he had to do some retagging. That meant that he had to venture into IC once. And of course, I was glad to get him to the Weth.
Strange detail: when we arrived to Weth, song "Light in the Black" started up in my playlist:
QuoteWhen the war has been won
And our march home begins,
What awaits has not yet been revealed.
What was won? What was lost?
Will our deeds be remembered?
Are they written on stone or in sand?
And it kinda drove me to thoughts about story, or what if Great Doms were finally defeated:
The gates were sealed, and human pilots, located in Inner Core systems to help Dom'Kavash, quickly left back to a human civilization.
Although there were ships that stayed for longer for some different purposes. One of them was CNS I-939 "Stranger", noted to venture from Weth into a systems once conquered by hostile races. It's pilot, Coalition officer Ajay flew the ship through all Inner Core systems where he once fought in with his friends, for example CFPD officer known as Night Hunter, or freelancer cop nicknamed Anubis. He flew to Jormdar, to repair buoy that no one needed anymore and stopped near it. Memories filled his head.
Worst part in war is that people can get used to it so much that it becomes a part of their life they barely can do without. Ajay knew it, but it wasn't making his sadness any better.
For a first time in years, he wished that a group of Dom'Nepesh fighters would appear out of nowhere, like in those old good times.
And for a first time in years, he cried.
