i never liked sports games... but i had a short look on PES09 and it doesnt look bad

yeah... i had the chance to see a bit of the new jumpgate... and some other very interesting games
i need to say that 10 hours are not enough time to get deep impressions and test much stuff

Most impressed i got by Starcraft 2 (as being an old SC player)
its very good that the game is meanwhile in 3d but the look didnt change... the units and buildings look like in original SC... also the game dynamics remained the same. It can be said that nothing has become worse but much has become better.

X Terran Conflict does also look promising.

Biggest part of the games were music games... every kind of singstar, rockband or guitar hero.
...followed by RPGs and Ego shooters.

There were many positive surprises... but also some negative stuff.
The Red Faction games get worse and worse... I liked the first part but its getting worse with every new game... meanwhile its a 3rd person shooter with nice graphics but crappy movement.
A total no-go in my eyes.

The new warhammer might be a good game if you like RPGs or you still can try the new Gothic 3 addon (never thought they would release one after the troubles between developers and publishers).

Streetfighter IV
for those which liked the original streetfigther this will be worth to buy it. The 3d graphics with the original comic style look are pretty cool and the movement remains in the classical way. Good Beat'em'up if you want to play with friends.

Im sceptical about the new mortal kombat... as it is a crossover game having original MK characters but also characters like batman or superman (how realistic would it be that superman does get hurt by a punch in his face?)
Seriously ... i like MK... but dont think this one is really a good idea.

There are tons of very interesting games, new hardware... old hardware... tools... modding stuff... even something like a modeling school.
I cant say that there was much revolutionary... but there was a good bunch of solid work done on improving existing games (Starcraft2, DiabloIII, Gothic3 Addon, Stalker Addon, X Terran conflict, Jumpgate Evo, MGS4,...).
If you have a good PC then the next year will be very interesting for you.

Of course I wasnt alone at GC ... so XL (SWAT_XL-R8R) made a big bunch of photos and will upload them as soon they got edited with photoshop to improve the quality.
No... you cant expect to see many games on them... 90% of the pics are GC babes coz we have spend about half of the time there with "selective" photo seassions (XL made the photos and i scouted the next babes).
