Why would people like these consort/acquaint themselves with cheaters?

Why would people like these allow any cheater in their clan?

Any cheater would not only be a reflection on their clan but on themselves

Some of these guys show me a lot of integrity

I'm definitively a noob here since this is my first post, and Ive played on CF server less or about 2-3 weeks, and that was few months ago So partly I have no right to say or condemn any1, nor do I want to do that But I will say following for those that will want to read a reply from a total stranger/noob that has some neutral thinking on this matter.

My char name in game is Prometheus, some of you might know me, and many of you dont. Those that do know me might ask why I left, but that isnt the point of this post (I left out of lack of time for playing the game), the point is about cheating/skill. Coincidently Ive left right about the time Sleepy blown me out of the sky/space but that wasnt the case In my mind Ive could easily have sad wow he must be cheating, I can barely evade him not to mention get him in a line of sight or even worse line of fire. But Ive knew he is on this server a long time, and he must have learned some tricks that proved to be fatale for me, and by fatale I mean just that, not knowing of the suicide maneuver Ive managed to land and lose almost all of my equipment, sure Ive been mad, but not at him, rather that of myself for not knowing that if I land Ill lose everything, but like I sad Im a noob. Im great at pvAI, was not to bad in nomad run once, Ive got more guns and kills that of my m8, and he was way longer on this server than I ok, its possible I had luck but Ive never played pvp hence no wonder I lost. At no time came in my mind that sleepy could be cheating?! No, he is trained in pvp thats all. Plane and simple. He is better fighter then me. Heck all of you are. So am I supposed to think that every single one of you is cheating? NO! Youve been playing this game especially this mod way, way more then I did, theres no wonder youve picked up some great moves On that point Kyron thanks for the tips, Ill definitively give them a try Im not saying it is impossible to cheat, far from it But Im saying if you even think of accusing some1 of something you better have something to prove that, or some1 to confirm it If some1 kills me, and after that some1 kills the guy that killed me, then he hasnt cheated but from your points and bickering its like theyve both cheated, come on I love this game and I enjoy in it when ever I have time and motivation for it But for OP to close the server, cause of your constant bickering like school girls over boys, please Spare me. There will always be some1 better then me/you, that is the way of life. And if some1 wants to leave cause his ego, cant stand that there is some1 better then him its his problem not the communities exception for the case when it can be confirmed that he is a victim of a cheater, but then appropriate measures could be taken and he wouldnt have to leave. Rather then accusing every1 that can beat him of cheating better form a system or a temp clan where people can train with experience players, in safety no npcs etc... dont know the rule of arena, maybe what Im talking about is in that system, but what I do know is that every noob that comes to this server must get some training or he/she will leave it cause every time he/she fights in pvp he/she looses. So it would make it much simpler for new players if there is a known place (like New York), and known people that could train them rather then going around dying and wondering who do I ask to train me and will he/she? I know that is a lot to ask, but I think it could benefit us all, see even experienced players have to train

we tried the training thing at LP, but nobody turned up, they was all too drunk. so we dont bother with that. who cares for kills, not us, we only want fun and money and Daddy's whiskey

The Old saying is simple. Go up against hard players and you will come out better. I got some training when I asked for it but neither my computer nor my internet connection is fast enough.

Fighting also does not suit to me entirely. So I do not PvP so I do not complain.

After this post we was doing some changes:

SMG and CFPD finaly agreed to a code of conduct between each other clan and it´s members - it is active and working since the 19. of February very well:

The Parties to this Treaty reaffirm their faith in the purposes and principles of Crossfire and their desire to live in peace with each other. They are determined to safeguard and encourage the prosperity of Crossfire, to preserve the friendly atmosphere and the rule of law. They seek to promote stability and well-being in Sirius.

The High Command of CFPD and the Concil of SMG agree to follow this Rules and Regulations from the moment they promulgate this Code of Conduct. It binds all members of both clans. This document shall be considered part of CFPD and SMG rules and if there is antinomy between this document and the internal regulations of any of the clans the Code of Conduct will be considered supreme.

1. Every Clan is responsible for their own actions only.

2. We agree not make insulting comments about each other no matter if there is someone to listen or not;

3. We agree to high level of tolerance for abusive comments in space and bring them to our leaders;

4. The leaders of both clans agree to take such things very seriously and deal with them accordingly;

5. We agree not to interfere with each others internal affairs;

6. We will separate our private life from the game;

7. We take responsibility for our own words. We will try to avoid speaking when controlled by emotions;

8. We agree to play nice and fair to each other. If we see someone is harshed we will give him a break, if someone say he is not in the mood we let him go in any other case we push the roleplay to the limit and don't complain;

9. We agree not to complain when outnumbered but we will avoid such situations;

10. We will not spread rummors. If the source is unknown we ask the person in charge directly if there is any truth in what people say. We will let our leaders discuss it if the matter is bigger than just one man;

11. We will always discuss any issues in private with the offender;

12. We agree if we see someone breaking the rules, using known bugs, camping near wrecks, etc. to report him to the ServerPolices it's their duty to deal with it and they know how to do it best.

13. Decisions done by the Clans SPs will never lead to a payback on the clan or the ServerPolice itself;

14. Sportsmanship is what we are seeking for. We agree never to complain or interpret but follow the written Rules;

15. New and fresh ideas can bring more fun to the community. We declare that none of these ideas will seek advantage of a single clan and will go against the spirit of this Code or the written rules;

16. Everyone needs to know that this game gathers many different people, from many different places, who come here for many different reasons. We will respect that;

17. We agree to respect different ways of playing and let those who don´t want to play the game like we do to do so;

18. These rules apply only to our members. We will not try to enforce or even point them to other clans members. CFPD will enforce it to CFPD and SMG to SMG but not CFPD to SMG or SMG to CFPD;

19. The leaders of both clans agree that these rules will be a guideline to resolve any issues between our members. They agree that any human being makes mistakes and this should be taken into account when an issue is resolved;

20. And always remember - don't say anything online that you wouldn't say in person!

Any repeated abuse of this rules will immediatly lead to a personal fine of 100 Million ingame Credits, which are to pay as soon as the violation is reported to the violators clan authorities. If the violation repeats a lost of rank may happen depending on the magnitude of the rulebreaking. This will happen regardless of rank and name of the member.

For the other accusations. No CFPD ever wanted to damage the Community or the Gameplay. Our aim always was to bring more fun to the commuity and the Gameplay. We are trying to play hard RP but most honorable in all of our actions.

The Situation was overheated between SMG and CFPD i appologize for everyones Gameplay we harmed.

I even want to say thanks to many of the Clan Leaders who helped in this process.

And now - if anything is still unclear i would like to hear it so we can get it solved.

I will not speak for SMG here, even when the process was done together, this is no direspect, i don´t do it for the respect to them.

Hmmm... I dont know why this was posted but ok. It would have been better to make a different thread rather than bump this very ugly thread. I wish this thread would be allowed to die because it is not needed and it is so ugly that it is not good for the server imo.

I can confirm this Code of Conduct has been in effect and signed on by SMG as Kermit said. The Code has been working very well. This Code shows that issues can and should be solved in a proper manner so as not to cause harm to the server.

I also would like to thank all of those involved in the creation of the Code. Several Clans were involved in helping both Clans along and making good advise. Kermit and Simba worked very hard to get the language of the Code agreeable to both Clans. Thank you and well done by all;)

I would be happy to put this positive stuff in another "Code" thread.

You really are not the police of this server. Just a clan. I have been told this many times by newbies. Many people take CFPD to be Server Police group.
