Hey Slavimirs! :) Yes, the Redemption, aka "The CFPD NPC blaster" is a great ship to take down NPCs, it's a very powerful, well armed (even stock), prohibitively rather expensive though and it's a rather large VHF.(i.e. it's a big target, therefore near worthless in PvP) Ask Gunny, CBass or Michael about getting one, unless the Dragon Corps already have a treaty agreement regarding them.

Sorry Arrow and Seqan, time to invest in a new dedicated gaming computer/ditch the notebook setup methinks! :D

Yea, didn't have time to jack with the HUD Huor, I was too busy blowing up aliens... Yea, that's what the mission was mostly about, so it shouldn't be any surprise most of the shots are of them going boom! ;):P:D

We slaughtered alot of alien capships yesterday, of which doesn't happen very often, so yea, I like keeping "trophies" of our alien routing/curb stomping.

I missed this collection :(( .... very unfortunate...:(( I hope to be together in the next epic voyage of SA ! and we kicked aliens to the end ! I am keen to join one such mission.will rely on the forum for more information pilots. ;)) 8). 8). 8). :keeporder: :keeporder: :keeporder: :keeporder: :keeporder: :keeporder: :keeporder: :keeporder:

Hey Slavimirs! We have an expedition schedule posted on the SA forums, it's a bi-weekly schedule, save servertime and all. Expedition mission objectives, date and time are always posted as a sticky there as well.

... I rather think that they send info for patrols on other side. Dunno how this really work (it could be only coincidence), but this is from my experience. Few times when I was destroyed right away when enter system was when I "escaped" by jumping.

Actually Forlon, I believe there is somewhere between a 50% to 70% chance of a United Dom GUNBOAT wing jumping into the Weth system when you do anytime you come through the gate.

This leads me to believe the Doms are sending these gunboat "assault" wings from the other nearby occupied systems from another location not shown in the game to the Weth gate, theoretically. For RP purposes, I can only assume the United Doms have figured out how to "piggy-back" their ships into the Weth gate from another jumpgate source as we jump through the Weth gate... So because we are friendly, therefore they see this as the best attempt to mount an "blitzkrieg" assault on the Dom'Kavash Defense Stations in the confusion of friendlies and hostiles appearing in the system. So since we are usually a nearby target they will destroy us and Dom'Kavash alike and since we are usually the closest target, we usually get targeted FIRST.

As explained before Vardek, use the tactics with bats & bots, your mouse wheel(thrust) and afterburner to keep from getting destroyed when jumping into Weth. Sadly there is no real alternative to dealing with this annoying phenomenon.(of which I can only assume is by design)

Vardek, I am very sorry to hear of your disappointment and troubles with the Inner Core sector. However, this is by design, for this is the most hostile environment of this Freelancer Mod, the Inner Core sector of the Crossfire mod, it is controlled by very powerful and very aggressive alien races who are bent on the destruction of both Dom'Kavash and mankind.

You don't step through the GMG Hypergate in Omega-3 without your balls, your brains, alot of skill and good fortune, or stuff like this happens unfortunately. (and yes, it's happened to me on several occasions in the past too! :D )

Bottom line, IMHO going through the Inner Core solo and alone is a VERY difficult and demanding task, you are overwhelmingly outnumbered and outgunned. Only the longest playing and most experienced pilots here are able to take on the hostile Doms solo, destroy their fighters and live to come back to Weth and then the Sirius sector to talk about it.

At the very least, you should have taken a wingman with you to help you, as your chances of survival increase exponentially with another person there to help divert the attention of the hostile Doms. Any Silver Arrows personnel would be more than willing to help you out in that degree, I'm sure there are others as well who would fly with you as well. As the old saying goes, there's safety in numbers.

As Awesomeman explained, you must land at Mirtrrak Battle Station in the Weth system if you are save your progress in the Inner Core system and to respawn there if your ship is destroyed. Otherwise, you will respawn at the GMG Hypergate Station in Omega-3. Again, this a two-fold reason, one, there is nothing but hostile forces from Venn to Weth in the Inner Core sector. Two, this is to reflect the difficulty of this part of the mod, as it is the ultimate NPC challenge IMHO, however it can be overcome!

Again Vardek, I implore you to reconsider your decision as quitters never win. You will never get to explore and see the rest of the Inner Core sector if you give up now. There are many people who are willing to help you out if you let us know before you go off in the most dangerous part of the known galaxy.

At the least, you can look at my signature and see if the SAL Xeno Guide can help you out. I will fly with you next time if you want my help, I've done many Inner Core missions in my time with the Silver Arrows and in Knights of Mercy expeditions, I can take you where ever you wanna go in the Inner Core and teach you how to get you there alive and back home to Sirius.

That's easy Cro, just go to New York near planet Manhatten and greet n00bs, help them out, show them around, answer any questions they have as best you can.

Handing out some extra cash to them if they are struggling pretty hard against NPCs is a nice thing to do too.

I do it every once in a while I'm in New York and I have nothing pressing I need done.

This is one of the best ways I know of to keep new players here and make them feel welcome here at Crossfire.

I remember there was discussion about creating "CF_INFO" characters from each clan to hang out in New York to help new players out a while back, maybe you can start a character like that.

P.S.: Tell'em about the maps in my siggy too, that helps a bunch, as Crossfire's universe is pretty huge compared to other mods and the nav map does not work properly in Altair or the Inner Core sectors...

andreas : Where do you need more power ? i think the power balance is already great (getting out of power is a part of the game and if can allow ppl to double their power with generators, might aswell give them all the infinite_power core by defaut on all ships.... [/edit]

    Quoted fo tr00f.

Grand, if you think you need more power, come talk to me about alternate firing techniques, I can help you out. :D8)

probably the DK have a different kind of structure and society that is not based on a normal hierarchy

This may be true OP... But unless they are a "hive" oriented society, i.e. like the BORG from Star Trek or like the CF related alien race, the Dom'Setek, where they all share a consciousness through a "linked" mind, all other organizational methods of social structure have a single leader of some sort or perhaps, a very small ruling group or body of members of a governing entity.

Besides, in the description of the planet in question that I sent to Grand, it basically says on the description for planet "Snockr" that it is where a large majority of Dom Kavash live (9 million to be exact, across 9 major cities, 1 million per city est.) and therefore it's assumed it's the capital planet due to the highest population observed. (yes, I've read all the info on all the Dom'Kavash systems planets) AFAIK, the Kavash's social structure is that of an empire, therefore, they typically have a single, absolute ruler.

OH yes Grand, just because they are bio-organic doesn't mean they weren't aren't bio-engineered either... :D8) The Dom'Kavash created the Nomads for pete's sake, that means they literally can create life, even though it still runs off a power source of their design and by all intents resembles organic organisms in nature...

Thanks for that, actually I couldn't find the readme! I installed the mod, just before reinstalling my OS so ended up with only the modded folder for FL and was too lazy to download the whole thing or go looking for the readme..

You're right though, my bad for not reading it!

EDIT: After reading it, I learned that I should check out a sleeper ship (luckily I found that) and that I should look for death valley.. Thanks.. If anyone's interested I'm a native English speaker and write sci-fi, I could have a go at rewriting the readme if the Op doesn't mind??

Don't worry about the short stories, I've already covered that... (see Unofficial Crossfire 1.82 History/Timeline thread in my signature) :D8)

Well ladies and gents, gay also means:

    - cheery: bright and pleasant; promoting a feeling of cheer; "a cheery hello"; "a gay sunny room"; "a sunny smile"
    - full of or showing high-spirited merriment; "when hearts were young and gay"; "a poet could not but be gay, in such a jocund company"- Wordsworth; "the jolly crowd at the reunion"; "jolly old Saint Nick"; "a jovial old gentleman"; "have a merry Christmas"; "peals of merry laughter"; "a mirthful ...
    - given to social pleasures often including dissipation; "led a gay Bohemian life"; "a gay old rogue with an eye for the ladies"
    - brave: brightly colored and showy; "girls decked out in brave new dresses"; "brave banners flying"; "`braw' is a Scottish word"; "a dress a bit too gay for her years"; "birds with gay plumage"
    - offering fun and gaiety; "a festive (or festal) occasion"; "gay and exciting night life"; "a merry evening"

    So maybe they're a happy clan? :roflmao::D

Regardless, I'd watch my rear orifice in space guys, just in case, especially if they are flying pink eagles. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

If these are the guys I've heard about from waaaaayyy back on Crossfire, they didn't leave the server by choice and it wasn't pretty when they did from what I understand... :cursing:

With that said, I believe everyone should be given a second chance... Time will tell whether they have truly changed or not, regardless, OP won't put up with that epic level of douche-baggery anymore these days for even a few seconds.

Tell them they have been warned... Tread lightly GAY clan and welcome back, hopefully in peace. :)
