Talking about lag shouldn't be a problem - infact I would suggest it is a major subject for conversation. Lag is not always caused by players (or is it?)

Also, if I had a problem with your 'apparent lag probs' why would I fly half way around the universe to PVP you?

I dont think there was any lag problems when we PVP in Kepler or Hudson (not sure which one). If there was lag - maybe it was casued by my gatlings?

I may have talked about lag in there, but not in any negative way about you - u urself admit you have lag probs

Summary - I am sorry to see you go as I felt you tried hard to bring RP on - and you PVP with excellent attitude, u r very friendly person.

I met u first in Hamburg as you were looking for some ASF/CSF action. We PVP but were surrounded by NPCs and decided to call it a tie.

The other day I saw you spreading discord in Kepler and I instructed you to leave .. or else.

Then you kindly waited for 45 mins for me and other IOC buddies to find Kepler and kick you out of it.

It didnt help our cause that our map was upside down or that Ghost went into the wrong system!!

We PVP and expell the CSF invaders than you came back with PC Force right?

What I learned so far

IOC need to use map right way up!

I am sorry to hear of your sad story.

In reality there could be numerous reasons why CFPD/BG are unable to help a trader that asks for it - maybe in your case the CFPD was new (as you say) or any other reason.

In space pirates attack all sorts of people, sometimes with no warning. If I was you I would note who did it and make sure they pay for their impertiance next time you see them - hire a merc to take them out, hire some escorts to protect your valuable cargo.

This freelancer pirate challenged your rights to fly where you want and you should take the next step - you cant always rely on the fuzz.

I look forward to seeing a post on the forums (bounty - wanted dead?) about this and then a screenshot when this miscreant is served revenge...

As for your point re RP for BG and CFPD - let them respond but they cant be everywhere and do everything, remem they are people with their own plans

What about 'fixing' the ships that already exist?

I was proud of my Predator as it had a Coalition Turret fitted to it until I found the turret fired backwards, same for Naginta and Eagle.

No doubt this is NOT a bug and some ships were designed that way, but if this were fixed it would encourage people to use them. The Predator, for example, has a turret and this is balanced by its lower armour strength, but the Turret wont fire forwards!!

It may not be possible as I heave read many times OP say that playing about with ships is quite difficult.

it's a joke - I could not belive mine own eyes when I saw so many legends on screen in front of me so took a picture for forum. Obviously it was not very funny.

It was the group v group death match in the Arena and somehow I was in the same group as those three - thus my comment if I sat inbetween them I may survive.

Although our team won - I think the event will be remembered for those two fighters from other team we could not kill due to their elusive skills.

In my little time here I have seen reloaders and pilots that by all rights should have fixed their hull before engaging in PVP with me.

This BG guy in Hyp or Sol was just hanging around for ages - maybe already had a PVP and should have fixed his shields and hull after that - but he didnt - we PVP and I beat him - I saluted him for his honour. He fought with 50% hull and challenged me.

Other people reload in trains when attacked - some dont - some run and some F1

Some people do this F1 creep thing - which is so funny.

You accost some people and they tell you they are too busy to PVP - you can engage them anyway or respect their wishes.

Some people you can warn many times and they dont respond at all - then you kill them cos they were warned.

I think everyone is different and wants dif things from Crossfire - despite it being a PVP server - somepeople just want to trade. Some people will treat every cargo as their true life savings whilst others will laugh away a loss of millions.

Well - apart from reloading in combat - I dont have a problem with anything else - even F1 out of combat - cos - let me admit it - I have wanted to do it many times against Sev/ Gunny/ Dopple/ Argos u name it.

It takes something not to reach out for the bots and shields buttons - it really does.

I would say if someone does anything you dont think is honourable - just note it and get them back!!

Mercs are available and some even do jobs for free!! You will find on this server - many people can advise on how to get justice.

Travelling through Arena the other day and witnessed an invasion of the following bunch of despicables - I think they are well known to the Police.

I barely managed to get out alive but I think it is important that the community realise what anyone of us - may have to face one day.

No banning for F1 ers in combat please.

Some pilots are simple traders - not interested in PVP - or not good at it - have crap laptop 386 etc

They need to defend themselves and stay away from certain goods/ routes that can be dangerous - but sometimes they dont do this.

Not excusing them - and I know this is a PVP server - a RP server - but if people dont want to fight so what?

PVP is always better when match is more even and both parties willing - otherwise u can just shoot NPCs

The picture of Earth looks stunning and I may even go back now every now and again to keep an eye on mi mam and dad.

Yep - I am with you here. However, as anyone who has seen me fly a train can testify - I would need 10 sec grace period if someone happens to F1 into me by chance. It will take me at least 5 seconds to decide which way to go.

And Saxony, it tears my heart out to hear of all these probs you been having with your train, why dont you give me a shout - I wont charge much - only a couple of PPCs as you will probably be paying more for my company than for your protection.

Have we agreed the rules regarding trains and escorts?

Will BG attack the fighters first and leave the train to try and escape?

On the main issue it seems if the server rule is that you cant F1 out of PVP, when you F1 into PVP (by coincidence or other reason) there should be a reasonable 5-10 second delay before the 'F1 into' person moves his ship. BG Si says he does this already and should be commended and made the rule for the server.

Since the BG blockade came into effect I only did the Sol run once cos I find it boring most of the time anyway and I am not that interesting in making loads of cash - in terms of making money, I must be the least productive pilot on the server considering how many hours I have put in.

What I have been considering though, is doing the Sol run in my VHF and to see what RP consequences that will provoke from BG.

I prefer the pirate please - we can all do with a bit more exercise once the server is back.

Since making all that money in a short time and now having many different ships - I have developed a slight paunch around my midrift.

1. Buy Kossac and spank all NPCs out there
2. Invade every clan system you were too afraid to go into
3. Map BMG goods for future ref
4. Meet Juni again and help her save the universe
5. Fly around the universe like a God and spank any NPC that has the temerity to challange you -
6. Buy whiskey from custodian
7. Do the Sol run without any interference from BG

The NPCs are hard at beginning - but keep an eye out for better equip and ships.

Although not known for my PVP prowess - I can act as decoy.

It will be good to see HC back on strength.

I am not for or against deleting the Sol run - just put an idea out there in the ether for discussion.

I suppose one of things we can do whilst the server is offline to talk about the game and discussion of this sort is usually healthy - as long as people dont get personal.

I for one am glad BG enacted the embargo as it certainly livened things up online.

Once I found out about their plans I did another trade route and then did something completely unexpected - which I found very interesting and got me thinking about alternative strategies - a good side effect of this embargo

Here is to more people doing something similar and I all for 300 Freelancers invading Dublin and putting BG in their place.

As for BG, I dont know of their past or their plans for the future - but for new players - they are a blessing.

I will be keeping an eye on Gunny ....
