Sometimes I reckon OP would rather not be a Service Supplier - especially considering all the agro he puts up with!!

I would have said if the new server rules have take the train option away from Manhat and Pitts - then it would be nice if OP adds 2 to replace them - but he already said thats not gonna happen

Remember - u can pass thru NY when trading from, for example, Colorado to Rheinland.

Anyway - as I say before - I did not see prob with people running to NY to escape justice/retribution etc

There is no doubt more and more people have been resting in NY, sometimes for very good reasons.

I just hope it has a positive affect on RP and on server and would wish server police good luck in enforcing it.

You are making good points regarding NY and its suitability for trade. It's a shame a few of you are damn good pvp pilots as well!!

Reviewing the trade routes over the last few days (since the Sol run disappeared) it seems the best trade routes now require a APC/Train combo which fits well for larger clans but may be a problem for smaller clans getting people together to do it.

The other train route is the Prisoners to Stutt one which has not changed under the dynamic universe and is probably better than anything u will find in NY.

Making cash is definately harder now and I think that was OPs intention.

In light of all these discussions - maybe all we need is for server police to keep an eye out in NY and respond to complaints about campers/cowards.

Not sure what a coward is - If I was being chased by 3 LPs and no one online to help me - I may consider running to NY - mabe

However I said b4 - I dont see why people cant run to NY to escape death - if they are breaking server rules - that wont protect them

On this server its the freelancers that dont have any rights - that has been said often enough.

The reason I thought of excluding server clans was beacuse their pilots can usually protect themselves or can get help. Freelancers being chased by deviants may need the safety of NY.

Anyway - this is a good discussion - and a result has been more pilots are aware that they shouldnt 'camp' in NY - is that true?

In terms of roleplay - it may be a good idea to not allow pilots over level 50 into NY

This would disperse everyone outwards and systems that have no visitors at the mo - like New Tokyo (infact the whole of Kusari space), Cambridge and Leeds etc may become more populated, see mroe player traffic - and the prospects of these systems changing hands in the asf/csf rp more likely.

There are other routes to X303, Texas, New London and Frankfurt and others too.

If clans want to get together and chat and trade and to transfer - they can do that in their home system. People can also chat over the intercom.

An alternative idea would be to prohibit server clans from NY - if for example they are above level 40 or 50.

Anyway just looking at this from an asf/csf roleplay point of view - I have noticed an increased number of pilots loitering around NY on some (some) days - but this has not been a problem for me.

And as far as I can see, there is nothing wrong in running to NY to escape certain death and then taunting your tormentor - sounds like fun!!

Gust - that's a shame mate - I was looking forward to SL participating in asf/csf roleplay.

It is a shame u had this difficult settling in period - but hopefully that's over now.

A lot of new players have come online and that arent aware of the rules - some written - some agreed upon in the server that are designed to help new players settle in.

I hope u get to like a rp here and fit ur licenses and give it your best shot - I hope u get to enjoy it whatever - merc, pirate, etc

I never realise missiles/torps cause lag as in many fights against 'spammers' it did not seem to be a problem.

However, if more people is using them a long with mines, CD, torps etc then as OP says - the server makes calculations and this could cause probs.

Not sure what the solution here is though,

Maybe the 'spammers' should police themselves for the moment and we can see what haps.

I like what Amhos said - a little tweaking here and there and you should be able to provide a diff rp experince here - and I welcome that.

Its a shame u cant be friendly with nommies or DK as that would be best for ur rp to work.

Also - as u r on the DK side I will be interested to see what ships and equip u use!!

I would prefer if u do engage in some talking online - even if u devise ur own DK language and post that on the forums!!

Finally most of us I think are looking forward to ur extreme pvping

Then that person will need time to fix it - it maybe difficult to do so when 50 of us are online.

Your proposed RP/Clan sounds interesting - but u should ensure firstly it is within the rules of the server.

Secondly u dont kill traders, u dont respond to communication and u hate us.

I assume u will attack anyone that crosses Ommi Alpha and will enter non clan systems and do what? For example if u enter Rheinland - what will u do?

It maybe a good idea to tweak ur plans a bit so at least u are talking and getting to know people from other clans - maybe u can respond in a DK way?

U need to do some tweaks mate otherwise everyone on the server will attack u cos u say in yr rp - u hate us.

It seems due to the advertise in LR and we now have the new 1.7 a lot of new players have come onto the server - and
they dont know the rules,
dont want to read the rules -
and dont realise the server clans and non sever clans have got together to agree some rules for the benefit for all.

Almost everyday now the numbers online can reach 50 and that never happen before.

The way we treat these new players will be interesting.

I had to take a small matter into my own hands after one of these new players attacked my train in NB and then called me a coward, p****ssy and worse when I saw him later in Hyperion - I have screen shots.

After getting my 500k (cost of my cargo) back of him and having the time to show him why it was not a good idea to go around killing people cos he flet like it - I gave him some advice and moved on. On NB a fellow IOC member asvised him to read the rules and get a license if he wanted to be pirate.

This is a conseq of the success of this server and we need to weed out the bad apples so to speak and teach the ones that want to learn a better way.

The dynamic universe trade changes stopped on 1st or 2nd October - I know this as I have a record of what was sold then and where best prices are - for a whole lot of goods - and the prices reamin te same since then.

My stock includ Gold, Diamonds, Niobium, Crystals, Fuel, Cardomine and some BMG etc

The stop happened just after the conversation on the forums re trade routes and how the randomness produced an unbelievable route each day.

I thought OP had stopped it on purpose.

I did it without the clans knowledge and I also want to apologise to them too.

This was not my intention, but I understand my action led to this consequence so I am truly sorry.

I hope you wont take out my infraction with IOC as we do really respect you and hope we can forge good relations with you.
