Greetings Baron.
Did that. Didn't work.

Remember the two Unknown systems? You know, there's one adjacent to Omicron Alpha and another to Omicron Gamma? Well there are now 4 systems that can be reached by exploring those 2 Unknowns and one of them is Lost Paradise. I will tell you no more or I'll spoil the fun; good hunting
Thanks for the tip Lance. Ill be flying through there on the way back from Altair with my new Coalition Gats. I think I'll take the scenic route.
Couldn't reboot even in safe mode, so I used the HP system restore, which basically reinstalls Windows. That sucks because it wiped out all the profiles. For some reason, Crossfire is one of the few programs that didn't need to be reinstalled. Since SOT and I still had our Multiplayer ID's printed from the 1.7 upgrade, I just logged on, typed in the correct ID numbers, and VOILA! Back online!
Now the only problem is the fonts in the HUD and the base templates (equipment dealer, commodities dealer etc) are way too big. I don't see anything in the options to reset them and everything else works fine.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

ill try to change the story missions so they wont crash the game (no promises)
That would be fabulous!
I generally restart my pc between each step of the installation process. That gives me a clean ini file to work with. (Install Freelancer, test it and restart. install Mod manager, restart. Install Crossfire, activate, and restart)
It sounds anal, and takes longer, but I generally have fewer issues.
Samantha.
Mail maintenant, if faut commencer tout encore. "uninstall" Crossfire, Freelancer, et Frelancer Mod Manager, reinstall Freelancer, the Mod manager, then Crossfire. Et essayez a connecter encore. Comprend?
Bonjour Samantha! (Etes vous en Canada?)
Je parle Francais un peu. Quelle "version" de Freelancere Mod manager avez-vous? Il faut employer FLMM v 1.31
Hagar is referring to your user profile. In Win 2000 or XP, each user on the OS has a profile. If your profile is setup as an administrator, you have full access to the pc and can install and uninstall programs.
If you user profile is limited, you will not be able to access the multiplayer aspect of Crossfire 1.7. You need to have your profile upgraded to administrator for the MP element to work.
You're referring to the X-3043 system. Trying to navigate X-3043 during the storyline misisons may crash the game, depending on where you are in the story. If you go early enough, like before the mission where you have to race Dexter Hovis, you shouldn't have a problem.
But, once you advance to the missions without an exit clause, or get far enough to have alienated all of the Liberty Navy, navigating X-3043 is either impossible or futile.
If you want full exploration of the systems in SP, you'll have to wati till you finish the plot missions or use the Open SP version, in which case you don't get to play the original storyline.
There are two in the Texas system: LPI Sugarland, and LPI Huntsville
one in Manchester: BPA Newgate,
one in Hamburg: Vierland Prison,
one in Shikoku: Fuchu Prison,
and one in Neophobos, which is owned by the UAC.
That depends on what weapons you use and how good a pilot you are. Get yourself a VHF, some good guns and missiles and practice, practice, practice. Besindes, once you kill an npc, you can sell his or her escape pod for up to 100,000 credits. An average fighter cargo full of pods can bring several million at almost any prison in CF. So the effort is worthwhile.
Is that the last word or can we spam this thread some more?
That depends on how good your English is LH. If you're from Bulgaria, Argentina, or Romania, it's not that easy.
Where would be the fun in that? If the npc's are too easy to kill the game gets boring.
I prefer the Deathblade. It has a good loadout (dual torp /CD launchers) is very agile and has a 130 unit cargo hold. It's quite good if you know how to fly it (which I almost do).
And it's sleek and mean-looking.
Don't let OP hear you say that. He has declared vociferously* that the story starts in Death Valley, not Nephele.
