    quoi??

Hey, something's not right here. I

landed at Octo Station in the Telosis system. It's labeled under your reticle as an Outcast

base. I thought, "Cool, finally I'll get to fly a mission for the Outcasts and kick some

    IMG or GMG ass!"

But when I went to the bar and checked the mission board, lo and

behold, the missions were against OUTCASTS!
WTF? How can you fly missions agains

    Outcasts at an Outcast base??

As if there aren't enough missions to hunt down and

Outcast at every other base in Crossfire I mean, come ON. Why are you persecuting

this one poor little pirate clan? It's as if they're heretics, or pariahs or... or

    um.....

    nevermind.

Go to the New York System.
    Behind Planet

Manhattan, you will find a new jump gate to Custodian
In the Custodian system (watch out

for the minefield), you'll find a jumpgate to the X-3043 system.
    The X-3043 system is a

treasure trove of jumpgates to most of Crossfire's new systems. One of these leads to

    Neophobos.
When you reach Neophobos, follow the trade lane and keep your radar select on

"All". You'll see a wrecked ship pop up on you radar. Fly to it, blast it, and tractor in

the guns. Guardian MkII I think.
    Now stop whining. :-)

A PPC is a Phoenix Project

Cannon. They're for sale on Earth.
Class 10 Mk II guns like the Diamondback Mk II and

Guardian MkII aren't for sale. You have to find them on wrecked ships.

    I've only

come across one set of Mk II guns so far. Blown off a wrecked ship in the Neophobos system.

Neophobos is one of the new systems reached from the line of jumpgates in X-3043. The wreck

is right beside the trade lane.

Make sure your hud is set to "all" (the icon on the

far right) as you fly around. Otherwise, your radar won't pickup the wrecked ships, which

is where the best guns are.

Apparently SOT got it sorted out. I had an error

    in my ZoneAlarm settings. D'oh!
You will get to start shooting at us very soon I'm

    sure.

Nope. It just racks up the

    dough.

Yes, I'm sure you're right. But I play sp only.

I can't connect to your server. Probably has to do with our internet content filter,

Netmop. It acts as a server and filters everthing that comes to our pc from online. I'm

assuming it won't let us bypass it to connect to an unregulated or unfiltered server. Not

sure if there's a fix for this or not, but I'll look into it.
I can't wait to get shot

down online. I'm sure SOT will fare better though.

    Is this the

same Predator that was available before as a separate FL mod? The one with 8 gun/missile

mounts? I LOVE that ship! I played through the entire FL SP storyline in one. It kicks a$$.

Where can I find one in Crossfire??

I'm still exploring, but so far, my

favorite Starlancer reborn ship is the Patriot. Good maneuverability, great looking ship and

good overall loadouts. I'm flying it with 2 Del Cids(?), 2 Phoenix Project Cannons, and two

Advanced Bean Weapons. (I'm in SP and I activated the FLMM Advanced Beam Weapon Mod.) I

still haven't found the Wolverine, Mirage or Grendel though. But the Patriot was my

favorite SL ship and I wished there were more missions for it in the game, or that I could

at least fly it in a simulator, so this is perfect!

Of the newer ships, my favorite

VHF so far is the Elite Defender. Great design, good power, etc. I just finished a mission

flying against a bunch of Corsairs in the same ship. That was very cool, graphically

speaking. it looks like a huge eagle wheeling through the sky....in flames. :-)

    And

the Bullpup Mk III is an awesome VHF/Freighter. it's tough as nails (21,000 armor rating!)

and loaded for bear, with a cargo hold that'll help you get rich quick. Except, I hate the

look of the back of the ship. Those green squares look tacked on, as if they were an

afterthought. Otherwise, it's a great mod.

Best cargo run is a Bullpup Mk III

hauling VIP's from Honshu to the Luxury Liner Hawaii. But the Crossfire Powerball jackpot

is the Crossfire Dock in X-3043. You can buy as many battleship turrets as you want, no

matter how many credits you have, and sell them back for 9million or so creds each. Instant

    megabucks! :-)

I can't decide which gun loadout to settle on. I have 2 Del Cid's, 2

Firekiss Mk II's, 2 Wyrm MkII's, 3 Phoenix Project Cannons, 2 Nomad Energy Cannons, 2

Diamondbacks, and 4 Advanced Beam Weapons!
    Decisions, decisions....

    I'm trying

to connect, but no go. I had to turn off my firewall, because the pc locked up when the

permission screen loaded. With the firewall off, I tried to connect and nothing happened. I

waited about five minutes and nada.
I'm running Win2K and using cable internet access

    through Insight broadband. Any ideas?

Okay, we'll give it a shot.

The first time I tried to connect to the Crossfire server, I got more antivirus alarms than

I've ever seen. And some I've never seen before. It seemed to be generated by Win2k

because, at the time, I think I had ZoneAlarm turned off.
And we did have a helluva lot

of trouble with viruses when SOT was visiting a PSP fourm, so you might be right about the

    relative threat level.

By the way, this is the best mod I've ever seen. Not that

I'm a hard core gamer (haven't got the time), but I've been playing FL for a almost a

year now and have tried several other mods. This one beats them all, by far. I'm having a

great time exploring the new systems and trying all the new ships. Kept me up til after 4am

    last night. :-D
    Great job!

The game crashes when you try to tractor in Level 10 Mk

    2 guns.
By the way, is it necessary to go all the way through the original missions or

can you just jump into the new stystems and start the new missions?

My son and I are beta testing 1.51
Apparently I'm the only one having a

problem on the Ashcroft mission. It relates to the near infinite bots & bats issue discussed

above. The Ashcroft decoy is damn hard to "neutralize" with a Defender and when I do, I get

a mission failure screen immediately, saying I've fired on a friendly. The cutscene with

the disabled ship had only been onscreen for about half a second before this happened.

BTW, is there a way to jump to the new SP missions without replaying all the way through

the originals? I've been there & done that several times and would just like to get to the

new ships and systems if you please

    Thanks
    :D

My son and I are beta testing 1.51
The Ashcroft mission seems to be coded

wrong. It takes forever to disable the decory ship and when I do, a mission failure screen

pops up immediately saying I've fired on friendly ship. Is this fixable?
