Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

  • Instead of taking the "informational approach" , they choose the "attack approach" instead.

  • All the guy had to say was that he would give you credit for the ideas, and he seems incapable. People have no manners and are selfish. They dont deserve it.

As a developer i deal with these type of people all the time. Countless projects i've done have been stolen and rebadged with multimillion dollar companies names on them with no credit to me at all, you would be surprised what lenghts the industrial espionage goes to when money is involved. Here, your lucky that these community members dont have control of what you do or say. I say stolen, but then politically stolen as the company wanted better reputation with I*M and major banking systems companies therefore it was all in the line of duty.

Unfortuantely theres isnt much in the way of intellectual property with IT, especially for developers, so you gotta hold back whatever you can to get any respect. Fortunately, due to our creativity we come up with a lot of ideas to share, which dont cost us too much hard work.

btw. im no modder, but thinking realtime dynamic prices are going to be horrendously difficult to acheive, and costly to implement. many factors in this, mostly hardware. 64 bit memory addressing, sure you could search the ram, but this would all be custom code, and Vistas TC platform to do with access right to applications ram space being the main obstacles. rights have to be mangaged for applications to write to ram in long term, plus you have problems long term compatibility and hardware environment isses to test. Not a thing to do in a mod. You want to mod it this much, then probably easier to make a whole new game and not need to hack anything, as a whole new game could be done with legitimate code which isnt untried untested.

  • OP, screw them all

CF mod is YOUR work anhd your work only .. you was the designer, the developer and you are the author of your mod .. everything you developed is YOURS ... and you can put that everyone in their faces ..

that guy says something of "contribution" HAAAA ? those m** f** are attacking this community and this mod for the whole tme in playing here ..

just leave them alone .. if they try to cheat, or hack like that bastard who crashed the entire forum and server, destroye them so, that they will give up from any further attends to copy-paste or decode anything you or anyone made ...

i do know that you are nice guy OP, and that you really try to make everything by rules ... but, sometimes the rules are the things you need to avoind, bypass and show the people WHO you really are .. no mercy, no nothing ..

its your mod, you made it and if others want to have something similar.. let them PAY .. if 100 Euro's or 1000 Euros .. so be it ... its your work , mate .. dont sell yourself and your lifework, because some chimp is cying

  • I have to say that for some ppl (like me) would be very hard to try any moding without the help of some very good tutorials of LR, since I have not any foration on programing and such.

But ask to other's to share thei're work so I can copy thei're ideia, well that's to much.

Let's not forget that sometimes what we want to achieve it's allready donne out there and it's a wast of time to try to make it without at least try to understand what other's made.

I believe that in the end is the finnal work that count's, and if a project is good we certanly will get the help needed, reguarding that we make the right aproach.

in the end, what I think it's more needed is a project that can unite ppl instead of split them away, and that's for sure the goal that should be tryed to achieve instead of loose time with flame threads that take to mcuh time to write, read and think to all the parts.

  • LR is down so I cannot see what was written in that thread. I read others post so I am going to answer accordingly. Dynamic Economy is a very cool sounding idea but the problem is that trade routes change everyday so it is good for encouraging people to explore and travel but then for many days there are no good trade routes. :(X( [3] [2]

I think if possible this should be exclusive to CF. I know Credits making could also be an important aspect of people wanting to come to CF or not.

I have an odd idea. Is it possible for you to copyright your Dynamic Economy so if someone copies the idea then they pay a royalty to you.:):D8) :]

  • Hey SUPER,

I know you are proud of your "clan", but can you remove a few of those sig pics? rather a pain to scroll half a page to get to the next guys response.

  • Super, there's other server´s with dinamical economy, that's, the question is not who made it first but how, and if that ppl want to share thei're work in any way.
