Clanjumpers and other ppl acting with dishonour

for one, pcforce is correct... i am not having fun if i am the only DC that gets online...so far, the only fun i have is when ASF and CSF resume roleplaying status and thats when i joined in on the fight on dublin with LP and MW against IOC and BG(indirectly i guess..)but after that its useless cuase i am the only DC and in my point of view i dont know any allies... i would wish that LP were allies but they are pirates and DC is police... i dont understand why DC is police and is even a part of a Faction that is commited to be seprate from the other houses(CSF ofcourse) i would rather have DC become mercs again..which makes us look either allies to everyone or enemies to everyone..almost like bounty hunters except the fact that we hunt pirates. we could hunt anyone with the right money. but ofcourse i cant do anything about it..... other than that i am just gonna play when there is an ASF vs CSF events..till i see more DC people.. ofcourse since the new version is gonna come out soon i am more than likely gonna play more.. this is why i like this mod soo much and in fact, DC was the reason why i joined this mod community. and i am glad that it is restricted to one server cuase its always 25+ people on good days. well anyways i will stay in DC cuase its the reason i came here (besides the fact that every clan i join in other games some how always die in less than 3 months. so this time i hope i can break that ''curse'' of mine in here.)

What they need is recruits and more active leadership. I've said it before and my veiw hasn't changed. It's in Alucard's, Hipogriff's, and Viktor's hands now to either let the DC stay as-is or recruit new members to rebuild the ranks. The top three in the clan are distracted by a number of important things atm and can't be there to micromanage any aspects of the clan. That's all there is to it. If you really want to help DC stop recruiting everyone before the few DC pilots can have a go at them. It is a great clan with a rich history that few know; hopefully one of the members will have the time and skills to devote to its restoration.

big clan needs active leaders, and active menbers, recruit work needs to be donne by every menbers, a clan is not only a bunch of guys that want to have fun.

I know there's reasons for ppl leave clans, but they should never leave clans without any suport. If you have a duty you must find someone to continue that duty while you are gonne, that's chain command.
And if someone leaves a clan shortly after join I can understand casue he realy can not fit in it,

but if ppl leave a clan and they allmost work against RP,
they are working against server, cause is RP that keeps server up.

no, i was never a GK.

i tied to hire dc this week i think they still merc but when no 1 online they never get it going

Before I say anything else I must say that I understand that I for one am probably one of the people that OP is unhappy with. I had no intention of entering this debate but feel I must as I still have strong feelings of loyalty to DC even though I no longer play on this server.

When DC decided to change the RP to Police I was not happy with it. This was an internal DC issue and the command staff knew I was unhappy and I gave them a commitment to try it out which I did. After a few weeks it still wasn't what I wanted (DC were not Police when I signed up) and so I tendered my resignation and was to go freelancer.

I was persaded to stay and try and rebuild DC which I attempted to do. I kept DC active on the CF forum, started an event in my timezone and tried my best to vet and recruit new players. I found the biggest problem was not our high standards for recruiting but in fact our Police RP. It seemed to me that being the "Honest Cops" was just too restricting for most new players.

DC are a great clan with good commited command staff but I believe especially with thier CSF RP that Police is not the RP that they should be following. DC command staff have also been given a hard time by some people for their lack of server time but what those people need to realize is that they are working hard behind the scenes for the CF community as a whole.

When I withdrew my initial DC resignation I made a commitment to leave CF if I was ever to leave DC and this is what I have done.

I have thought hard before I posted these comments here rather than talk of the Police RP in PMs or on the DC forum, but feel this discussion is important enough to warrant it. I am sorry if these comments upset any of my old DC mates as this is something I wanted to avoid.

Red Katipo, I will not speak about RP any longer because ppl know what I think about it, but I have to say one more time that ppl need to give up that thing of bad guys good guys, because we all need to make some bad things once in a while like smugling (even cops, hehe [10] ).

If DC needs to rebuild so they maybe should start for play more atention to what's happening on the server.
(and I am not speaking about you mate), and play your police RP.

In asf csf, you guys will need to sort that out since it's not good to see allied clans fight against each other.

and for last, the merc role does nopt help so much has it should, let me just make you a question

USE YOUR IMAGINATION!!!. CFPD are crooked cops, they are pirates in police uniforms, Gunny has the right idea of how to spice up the gameplay and RP. Us pirates really have enough trouble with CFPD but thats good.

How does DC ever expect to get any better when none of them agree on anything, and they dont spend a bit of time resolving their own problems internally. Engage brain and work together, try to be creative!! its enthusiasm that breeds enthusiasm

If the community really wanted to help DC then all clans would agree not to accept new members until DC has 10 new members. DC has said the number of members is the issue. Those 10 plus current DC could then actively recruit.

Perhaps Lance and Lashan can actively recruit for DC until 10 new members is met. Lance and Lashan are the most qualified for this task. As they know the "rich history" of DC. I must admit Im completely ignorant of DC's history. A thread detailing the history would be great. Many new players would be attracted to the tradition and history of a longstanding clan. DC history can only be matched by one other clan. Pride and tradition sells.

I'd love nothing more than to put my absurd recruiting techniques back into action, but I've got school now and if I were recruiting for another clan that'd be the only thing I'd have time for. Lashan may be gone for a long time so I can't say that proposal is practical Burro :\

sorry burro but I think that stop recruiting so DC can, will nto help, is something like pushing ppl for a clan, i don't like that.

apart from that, what about all the other clans? most dont have 10 active members. i cant afford to stop my recruiting proccess. but i allways try to find out what the prospect likes to do, pirate/trader/police, whatever. then steer them in the direction of a relevant clan.

i think that DC could look at a slight RP change, as CFPD are looking into. theres nothing wrong with crooked cops! and it could add a few twists to rp in certain situations. i ike the idea of having cops i can bribe to "turn a blind eye"! good for them , good for me! or cops that will cross the legal/illegal line now and then for thier own benifit!!

just an idea. but know that i will steer people your way, and CFPD's, who i think would like the idea.

to ask clans to not recruit ppl until DC has 10 members would not be right. Because if a person wants to be pirate, why can i recruit him? bad idea. If i speak to somebody who wants to be police, Sure, i'll mention DC and CFPD are the police and send him to them. banning recruitment for other clans is plain wrong, and LP always recruit over level 40 players, so you guys normally snap up the newbies for we get them. and we only have the ones who want pirate RP.

If DC were online rather than chatting in forums, then there would be people visible there to recruit. and all current members need the authority to recruit, or your a dead clan. Nobody can help DC if they dont help themselves.

but, Saxon, sometimes is also hard to even find you guys on the server. i started 2 clans and i KNOW the recruitment problems. the thing is: most clan leaders or SP come at night (by my time) and only then. and also, another thing, its VERY IMPORTANT for someone who wants to recruit someone, to be ACTIVE on saturday and sunday cuz many new ppl's come on those days. you can recruit up to 5 new members, but only 2 of them will be excelent fighters and good for the clan. well, i can also help you guys out with recruitment, if you want my help, cuz only thing im going to do from now is collecting the DKA's and some other thingys. Recruitment isnt really hard if you have the time and the most important thing: [858] ups, i wanted to say: MONEY. i know that many of you dont agree to give some money out to new members, but if you give a new member like 10M for the new ship and tell him that he can get everything else now alone with the ship by doing missions, believe me, he is going to be very active next 2 weeks. and i ussually asked people how long are they going to stay on the server and how long they play FL cuz those facts can help you to organize the clan. i know that many of you mean: ah, this guy is stupid, he didnt manage to keep 2 clans on foots. but the only thing why i didnt manage to do it so is the money problem (cuz to be server clan you need to pay real money) and im still minor age
but, im really good in recruitment.

so, its now up to you to listen to me and try to do it my way, or you can learn it on harder way - the way your clan will dissband and noone will be happy with that

Whatever the RP or name of the clan, new players want to join a clan that is visible.

Most times u log on there are IOC, UAC, LP and BG players flying around shooting at each other, chatting and trading.

Pll want to belong to a clan where they are part of a group thats involved in the community.

If the DC want more members the current members have to be visible 'in game' and active in any RP going on at the time.

There is a certain "Critical Mass", when a clan drops below it, things start to roll backwards.

The only real solution for DC is for the current members to make an effort to get more active and be around, every day, at GMT evening time.

Dragoness was a good recruiter. She would "meet and greet" lots of newbies. Escort them thru Custo, n show them around.

U have to give it time and effort if u want to build up your clan. There is no alternative.

it is the hand of welcome and the posibility of freinship and to a degree mentorship that intrests new poeple
and helps them choose a clan.

lets all practise this and when we think DC is the clan for the new guy we are talking to pass them on but we will need DC serverside to do this.

i dont think suspending recruitment on all other clans is

I do think the get off forums and into the game is a fair point

when 1.7 is realeased please have the best pressence you can muster and there will be people to help and support you (we cannot do this if you are not there)
i realise there are important things to attend to behind
the scenes but you need some thing to come back to when all this is done

I agree si without pressence of the leaders or of other members of the clan you can't recruit
