The soloution to CFs problems

Why start another thread on this matter DS? leave things in the past please m8. it will only impede any hope of getting to a true resolve with you guys.

i really do hope you both can find the middle ground and swallow your pride and put an end to this.

You have a lot of nerve making such a thread. You could have just scoffed at the BG accusation and walk away, but now you've got to be the though guy and hit back a few times, eh? How about this as a solution to the problems: OP does whatever he wants but keeps the things that don't involve the rest of us where we can't see it? As for the mod itself, not a lot of progress gets made when the modder is stressed out over personal battles. The less time you spend getting your revenge the sooner the rest of us can go back to watching the mod evolve and improve. I still think you're a good man DS and that you don't mean to hurt this community, but you really need to start thinking about what your posting before you do it.

hmmm... i have one thing to say.

I dont think it makes sense for the creator of the mod to be the leader of a clan, or the admin of the server, or the admin of the forums.

i dont think you should be able to pay 33 bucks for an sp-ship.
(on HA5 our rival clan's leader was an SP. when we were pirating in a system he would often use the console chat, the blue and green one, to call us noobs, ect. his clan also made lots of money without trading. thats why im perplexed, if not somewhat annoyed.)

in fact, i think that its a bit odd to pay straight up cash for a system. discourages noobs... etc.

im not trying to be offensive or start a flame. i cant comment on whatever went down before. but i still think that i should voice my opinion.

The systems cost real money because OP needs the real money to fund the server rent. There are lots of ways to get the money, but this is the way it is and nothing is going to change it (don't get me wrong, I'm one of those discouraged people :P). It's complex, but OP manages to micromanage the whole CF mod/community at the same time. It isn't really a bad thing and we shouldn't give it much thought unless he wants somebody to lighten the load for him.

like, lets see, how is it that he can be a leader of a clan,and be running this board and the server? the very fact that something like jason's somewhat asinine posts are cropping up jsut goes to show what im talkin about.

even if jason was completley acting without any reason or basis, he is still acting. in most other servers admins are leaders of an SP group, not of a militray, especially not of a military that kills people for trying to buy a ship

STOP DWELLIND AND REVISITING(CONSTANTLY) THE EVENTS OF THE PAST!.

personally i am getting tired of reading this tit for tat bullshit about who did what to who. i, like everybody else here, come to CF to have a good time, meet new and intersting people and play the GAME.
GAME being the idea of Freelancer in the first place!

no disrespect to anyone involved but christ let it be.

i will post my personal opinion on every thread i see on this matter because i care about this server and the people who come here for the same reasons as me.

i wont get involved in the events of the past because in my opinion it has got way too personal on this forum. and i have no right to, as many other people on this server have no right to. people who where not on this server at thew time keep your opinions to yourselves as you have no idea what went on. your comments are causing OP and DS to relive the shit of the PAST by going through things that dont concern you.

Cartman you dont really have the right to comment on how OP runs the day to day business of the server, if it wasnt for him none of us would be able to enjoy this fucking fantastic mod. OP dedicates a lot of his RL time to keeping and running and improving this server for everyones benefit.
and if OP wanted BG to be a military clan thats his choice, no one elses. and no one elses business.

SO PLEASE STOP, EVERYONE.

i will give, what i hope to be percieved, as a third party point of view so i wont be drawn into this battle of words.

Before anyone posts those sort of threads they must ask themselves questions:

1) Have I made a 300meg mod and stabalised it for online play?

2) Have I been able to set up a clan and manage it?

3) Have I been able to do both of these at once?
