This is how I used to worm my way out of some police busts a long time ago (by claiming to be doing military work). I think it makes perfect sense for BG to smuggle. Military is not the same as militaristic Police. One must keep in mind that these RPs are very different from one another, lol

i have said this for a long time

if any 1 should carry Govement Agent Lists it should be BG, because a military oprative could be carrying them to the appropriate authorities on earth and lets face it this kind of sensative information is best out of circulation to protect the agents in question.

its just a happy coincidence that they are worth so much money.

@ Raven: I agree that the smugglers should be curtailed, just find a better method than 3 systems away. Personally I patrol near the hyperion gate then use the scan tool as they enter Dublin, that way i can meet them halfway to the gate, drop them out of cruise with CD's, then put in a real scan and tell them to drop cargo. Please do not be offended by the statement to Cartman, Raven as you posting in English keeps me from having to learn another langauge and i do appreciate that

@ all: It is true that to get rich quick one needs to begin by smuggling on the route to Sol. However, I have moved both of my trains to the New Berlin/Stutgart run for 7 mill a piece since i have achieved my goals of several fighters, and enough funds to finance them all. This still builds cash and is legal all the way.

@ Marshal: I disagree. Smuggling is smuggling, whether it is Military, police, pirate, or whatever.

For a long time i sat at the top of the stats with over 1 bill credits. I do keep an eye on the stats and see that many have passed me by now. Once my i-net gets fixed i plan to stop any and all smuggling that i can.

it all makes sense now...

osiris: I need to start being less vague -_-. Yes, smuggling is smuggling, and smugglers should be curtailed regardless of their affiliation. My last arguement was that Military don't have the same RP rules as Police (there was an earlier suggestion that it's against Military RP to smuggle).

I agree with Gunny and Wavey , look its the same as Taxing people when they are ether Dock or have just enterd the system and you are some where ells.
Hell you can just come on line look where people are tradeing NL NY NB or eney where and just say you are taxed.
IF you stop me eyeball to eyeball and say you are taxed ok i pay or get killed .
if you are police and do the same thing i drop my cargo or fight simple as that.
if you cant see a charecter eyeball to eyeball do scan .
Liberty police only scan you when they see you ,not when you are in a trade lane , that is the rules of Freelancer.

Hmmmm, The way I see it, the military is there for the people not vice versa. What i mean by this is that the military needs to be held to the same standard or a higher standard than the average Joe. Does the government cover up many things for the military? Of course they do. Does this include some smuggling? Of course it does. When the military gets caught what happens? Those that know are either silenced or payed off.

So, if the military units smuggle it is all good RP, but if they are caught they should face the same deal as other military, pay or silence those that know abt it Sounds like it was silenced in this case LOL

Every once in a while though there comes something that the military neither has the time nor the opportunity to cover, silience, or pay. At these times here in CF they are attacked like any other player for smuggling.

@ Marshal; I agree that it makes sense for people to smuggle, and not just the military. This is where the money comes from after all.

so what would one do if they say a police officer or military officer smuggling? is this a screenie them and let their clan deal with it kinda thing? Or a blow them up and tell them there being bad boys kinda thing?

Like Si said, we are transporting secret files to a police base, so you attack and try to "steal" the files.......we actually had a few really good rp battles this way.
