    Yes, Yes... The Imperial Courier...it does look like that ship...maybe the anime took the concept from ELITE cause that game was one of the 1st space sim...I did fly that ship in Elite and it was great for trading...


    @OP, it look nice the green skin :)


    @Azadur, I did play all the Elite games and even first encounter (which was one of elite series that came for first time in cd format :D)

    Yup! the ELITE II cames out in 1993 so, its possible, but i dunno.


    Anyway about the ship: Its looks good with the green scin, but i think the bright is better. Or just make the bright too and put the diffrent colored ships in other system. ;)

    The ship looks as though it would fit a scout or escort role best, making it a medium-to heavy fighter, class 6-8 guns, CD/CM/M, high agility, 6500-7500 armor. No matter the skin, it will be hard to see, due to the thin sections; is there a ship called "Wraith" yet? Seems to fit this design 8)

    Elite project started before 1983 by mad computers programmers inspired in the game Star Trader 1974 (which I play years laters when I got my first cpu at age of 8). 3 versions of Elite came out in 1984 and some of the ships already were there with a basic graphics (basic polygons shapes) Because of their success to be one of the first open space sim games, after 9 years, came out Elite II where we had a better look of the original models from ELite including textures (wow)...Then, after 2 years, FIrst encounters came out and it wasnt as succesful as Elite & Elite II despise the fact it was on CD format with much better graphics and better storyline.


    Now ELite 4 is on the way eventhough some people have their doubts if would be ever release while other people considered that still in serious production. The tentative release was september 2006 but Frontier development stated is was pure especulation...

    Well, for me the "dark green metal plate look" looks much better, and the whole ship looks great!!

    And about the ELITE series (again) righto the first comes out in 1984, the second in1993, and the third in 1995. :) And if the 4th ever came out, i will fell myself in heaven. :))

    but you gave me agood idea. i know a GOOD perpose for those 2 wings with spikes (well, you know what i am talking about) -> those things could be 2 torpedos. once you fire them, you cant get them back until you dock first on some base. and to repair then (to get them back) you would pay like 5M each new wing/torpedo.


    just think about that: you fire those 2 torpedos and your ship became faster, more manuverable, but has LESS firepower (you would lose everything what is mounted on those wings). and every torpedo would do 200k damage, so thats 400k damage TOTAL

    I messed with my texture database and found some predator textures as i said. I've reworked those textures and fitted them on the Quasar.


    Well.. sorry it's not luminosity bright.. but there's other ways to be bright then to be luminous right!?







    thx man, i've missed the cockpit because i've seen it more as an gunship than as an VHF. I don't know if it's what you had on the mind, since the Predators are more an tribal race, and honestly, i can't see where this skin would fit. Perhaps an advanced coalition prototype, or an Order secret ship...


    It was lots of fun to skin that ship, i skinned it while watching DS9 "Sacrifice of Angels" episode, so i got very inspired. If you guys would like to see another theme, just say so.
