Ghost trains

You are doing what your suppose to. There is some mixed ideas as to whether you should have a Pirate licence mounted......your Clan ARE pirates......this is not an unknown fact if someone reads the FORUMS. If you observe the newbie rules then everyone else should be fair game. Then we all have the choice.....heel to if a round is fired across our bow, or fight and see who wins....or try to out run the Pirate....fat chance of that....Oh yea...trains hire or get and escort.....all part of role playing.....am I right. Not F1 out like a pansey, no ofences to any pansies out there.

Not to pat myself on the back, but we had lag so bad one night that as this one fellow tried to tax me...I could have easily escaped. But what the heck....it's part of role play and we all get cought up with the LAG monster. I think he even gave me a discount....Which I appreciated.

I agree. There should be heavier penalty for F1 escape... every one takes part in RP and be an honorable player. dont blame pirates for what they suppose to do bcoz they are doin good RP, playing a kinda difficult role as most traders dislike them...

yet i will appreciate if pirate players can have an upper limit of how much to tax, like 5m or so...

yeah but this revenge shit is what stops RP if u have a pirate problem go see the CFPD and BG or hire mercs or pay the tax if u dont wanna die

tax all you want guys but we'll be there when you do . and just a small point if i may... hit em with some sids to damage them so they get a fine. if you are doing this already... gj. but you cant stop the ppl that F1 out of it. gl and hf.

My suggestion is to hit them with at least 1 shot then they at least get fined for using f1 in combat

humm.. i think a little more polite manners would help. I'm always ready to contribute with up to 15% of my money to one pirate per clan and system.

But i would do it happier if the pirate instead of ramming his ship on mine and shooting me, halted me, taunted politely and asked for the money.

one small point if it ok to f1 in to the game in order to set an ambush

then surley it should be ok to f1 out and swap chars to counter

the last time an atttempt to tax me was made i was a victim of an f1 ambush, and i personally dont think it was in appropriate as most have multiple chars

hats off for the timing an all, because i thought at the time is was a sweet bit of timming

i did in this case make good an escape fair and square
without use of f1

i hold no grudge and found the stratergy play superb
between preditor and prey

at the time i had no fighter within striking distance so opted for a fair play approach

to summaris my opinion:

if f1'in is part of a tatical char swap or is done before visual contact is made then is fair play. If its done becuase you are caught by good gamesman ship then is churlish at best. As the only thing being saved is $$ in a role play situation which is fake money (a fact no matter how long it took to accrue. i think the pirate
clan(s) and free lancer pirates add to the game and I wish them the best of luck in there endevours

but what is the prob with the pirates? i say you: first they come to the system and say "bla, bla, bla, GIVE MONEY" and they didnt even locate you (right Tanatos?!)

so why are they against of using F1. well, im also against using it, and i prefer to escape to another system
but they must get a new strategy to force the players to give them money. most of them just come to system and ask for money and they dont even know WHERE are we.

i have no problem with what the pirates are doing it helps to keep me on my toes.

LP cannot use pirate liscens as they need the slot for there CSF lisc and everyone knows who they are.

we also have the most polite pirates in the world. they always say "hi" and then follow with "tax pls".

when i am in a train i will pay its a lot cheaper than lossing the cargo and having to do the run again.

if i'm in a fighter dont ask cos i will just shoot.

Sorry DS I agree that the Pirates are needed, but is the revenge that make the play worthy.
And is not the revenge that stops the RPG is the the fact of you need to have a licence to make RPG, what I mean is that if we want RPG we need to ba allways playing it, no time for friendships at least in CSF or ASF systems, and then you will have your role play.

Perhaps it should not be titled, "Revenge", but rather a personal contract. And an explination should also follow as to why the person is being singled out. I.e. For shooting so in so....or for taxing so in so or what ever. This way the action willnot be misunderstood and turninto a blood fuid. I may be odd man out here but if i do something to someone else then I get waxed WITH and explination, I'll probably let it go. but one without, well then that opens a different can of worms.

The licence thing is a slight problem for the people that do not read or conduct any research about the server that they are playing on server clans have to use their licence mount for the ASF/CSF license but clans roles are on the forum so ppl should read the forums and get the frequent news

I agree Pirates should shoot first to damage not kill. Then people can see who is playing cowards game by using f1. If a Pirate cant find a player, they dont deserve any tax that is part of their job.

This is kind of a tuff one Si. But it has to do a lot with integrity of the train driver. And for that matter the Pirate too. We all know that we can have up to 5 characters in the game. and we know that most all of use have or do use characters spread out over the systems.

As you stated, if it's ok for a Pirate to switch out and jump from say NY to Sol to tax someone then why not F1 and leave sol back to NY. I honestly, thought when I started writing this message that I could answer that. But I don't think I can. Since we all do it whether it's on a simple routine level or under pressure of an attack, then then there isn't much difference.

It doesn't seem quite fair to the Pirate to F1 out to avoid tax, but may not be much different to F1 out to seek revenge or retribution. I do agree that the preverbial shot over the bow should be one shot to the hull. Just don't forget to take your finger off the fire button ok.

I think I'll have to say for me and me alone, If I can't outrun, hide or fight, I'll pay up if I'm in my train. But as carbine, I think said, If I'm in my fighter, then it's PvP time (Player V Pirate). But just remember I'm only talking for myself, not others.

a single question, if pirtates can trade, why can't traders tax?
