Events + Server events

Cant wait to try out these new events, they will no doubt prove an entertaining and different kind of event all together

Well I did try to make a Top Gun medallion a while ago but it was shoddier past shoddy.

I have tried many different configurations for the trade assault but the same problems crop up not having ppl willing or able to be the traders and picking teams and ppl leaving half way through. Friday is usually very busy and it deserves a good event so after another failed trade assault i had some inspiration and me and wavey cooked this up it combines pvp and elements of the CF tournament and is easy to run ppl just show up and fight nonstop no rounds or fuss getting organised just pure pvp with a twist and a system or recording and publishing long term player pvp rankings with out any complications

The Crossfire Grand melee with integrated CF pvp league

Each and every Friday the CF grand melee will be run the aim of the event is for the participants to enter the chosen battle system and fight non stop for 60 minutes.

The rules are simple all weapons, docking for ammo is allowed and no batts or bots

There will be 2 categories Freelancer and clan members the winner of each category will be the player with the most kills and prizes for runners up 2nd and 3rd and also an overall event winner. The fight will be one large fight with freelanncers and clan members fighting each other. The prize money will be

20 million credits for both category winners
10 million credits for both category 2nd places
5 million credits for both category 3rd places
And 5 million credits for the overall event winner Also an integral part of this event will be the CF pvp league. This will be calculated by each individuals kills in each event records will be kept and the placing with in the league will be decided by the kills and by event wins and runners up placing the scoring system will be

20 points per event category win
10 points per event category 2nd place
5 points per event category 3rd place
1 point per kill during each Fridays event

After each Fridays event the current standings will be posted, every month the player with highest score in the league will receive a special prize and a medal for his/her signature

Damn i like this name BTW can you pick up the prices a bit - most ppl's ammo is about 5mil (more or less)

if op allows me to replace the trade assault for this the prize will have to be calculated but as it s with this system of scoring that's over 70 mill handed out each event

Please, the following event managers & subtitutes would need to have a meeting tomorrow afternoon 8pm GMT:

The meeting would be held on msn by that time and I urge everyone to come. Points to discuss:

1.- Start running all events again
2.- Event Credits already given to Event_Team1 & Event_Team2 (Thank you OP)
3.- Badge assignation to events winner
4.- Reorganize our event functions

Hello fellow managers, I ve been trying to get a hold of the event managers and so far only 2 replies. So I m posting here to see if this would have better response. We need to reinstate the events and I understand from what I was told there were some trouble to run tem so I hope we could find solutions in this meeting.

Jtak (I got your reply but I need some info from you)

Also I take the chance to invite anyone else who wants to be an event manager to join the meeting. First tentative schedule was friday but since it is a problem for some of you lets try thursday 8pm GMT on SWAT-portal irc 01/06/2006.

If some of the current event managers want to stand down it is ok but dont reply here cause we need talk about that in the meeting.

PS: btw, It is unbeliavable that we got so far and did the hardest part of it (ideas, rules, new events, credits, and almost everything needed to start events, even the the forum badgest) just to let it die like this.
