The Big Race Event

Not enough people show up to this event to make it worth while, I now have classes that make it impossible to run it on time, I don't like having to scrape my trade profits into prizes for the winners, and most of the time I'm too depressed to care about it anyway. Therefore, I abandon Big Race... if somebody wants to host it PM me so I can explain to you how it works. I had fun the few times I could get it to work, but now I'm finished with it. Thank you to all the players who participated while I ran it.

more ppl need to start to come to these events. if they dont, then we may not be able to host them anymore and this is a symtom of the problem with the server events not getting run often

Ghost Lightning has shown interest in taking over. Perhaps he'll be able to draw a bigger crowd than I was able to

ok, the interest for todays event was big, cuz we made few more donations to the events prize money so we had 13 players in the event at first
after few chrashes in NL (cuz i didnt know that NL was bugged) few players left the event, so at the end we had only 8 players

but it was good run all over the sirius, through all capital systems

it was really nice to see many players participing in the event and we all had big fun

event was held and we had 5 players who joined it. this time server didnt crash (finally, lol) and route was :

all competitors manage to fint there way out, some had problems at the first, but in the end everything was good.

we made it this thuesday, cuz players wanted it,so .....

we had 14 players (WOW, really much) and everyone were very god. noone get lost, some just forgot about few jumps, some forget that we cant use Custodian, lol, but everything was OK:
like i promissed to all players: more players - bigger money prize

well....

out of 26 ppl online last night, and with an hours warning, and plenty of notification and encouragement only 2 ppl could be bothered with the Big Race event. As such i wont be running it again. i will be competing in the next one instead.

anyone else, apart from inferno and the other event managers, want to take time out to organise an event for the players enjoyment?

status from 4th of January

we had 9 racers, some new, some old, but it seems everyone enjoyed the race..
the racing track was like the last time: from arena to SoS and back to arena ... some players tried to make it through Freeport 7, some through Alaska, noone entered Tohoku (finally) this time or Custodian, hehe so everything was by the rule, but it seems next time we will have to make more security outposts

great event , indeed ....

we made a slight different this time:¾
all players start from Arena, docked on planet, and they need to be the fastest in finding .... finding the manager ... since we had trouble with verifing if the players really docked on stations (the original idea), i decided to make it this way ... and players liked it more

from now on, the event wont just be: be the fastest and that you need to know how and where to dock, but ... have god damn luch and explored maps in order to find the event target get used to this boys / girls ..

this way the event is shorter (max 30 min) but its 30 min of great fun and exiting

big race event status:
the prize money was really huge this time (over 100M total) and it was harder to locate me this time ...

the first racers found the target after 40 min's after and i was hidden in New Berlin system

objective: find the target and send a TRADE REQUEST to it

funny thing is next: BG_slayer was the 3rd player that found me, but he forgot to send me trade request, and death sent me the request 10 sec after when slayer missed his chance ... funny, but it happens .. everyone else got 2M just for finding me ...

not many took part at this event today (they were in NY for some reason..), but we made the event like in old times this time: in coloseum using the race gates ..
