  • So i started playing crossfire and i enjoy it but i hate that vsync is turned on.Everytime when my frame drop to like 57 it automatically goes to 30 and stays there for some time and goes back to 60 it really annoys me in fights because of the stutter.Does anyone have a solution for this?I had to turn off the effect detail to nothing because of this

And it crashes at random times during gameplay.

  • In CF1.9 ... turning off Vsync can increase the FPS ... but, in CF2.0, turning it off does not affecting anything btw ... for me, running with 60fps does not or never crash the game actually...
The fps only drop to 20 - 30 when using the JH or JG only ... other than that, it maintains around 50 to 60 ...

  • I spent hours trying to get rid of an annoying frame stutter every second. The only way I found out how to fix it is to download radeon pro, set flip queue to 1, disable aero and force process high priority. Not sure exactly which of those fixed it but I think it was simply the flip queue issue. It runs perfect now :) These options weren't available in the catalyst control center. Hope this helps someone!

  • by my experience no matter what i set in the catalyst control center and no matter for which game.... it does not work
forcing the activation of AA.... nope... does not work.

    dunno what i do wrong

  • Hello,
Catalyst settings work fine on my system in any game, I select "override application settings" for AA and also uncheck "use application settings" for anisotropic filtering before setting the needed values. But I'm using Windows XP while another OS may have a different Catalyst control center.

For me there is no use of Radeon Pro (link) because it requires Vista SP2 or higher, but you might want to give it a try as Catalyst replacement.

  • will give it a try since i clearly told ccc to overwrite the game settings
