SL-Reborn - previews

ok guys at the moment i cant

release ingame screenshots coz in fact the systems aint rdy yet... still working on

interface, ships and equipment

but i can show you some first pics how the startup

and the serverpage will look

like

should say i found a guy which was wearing the AGF clantag (a clan skorp created long time

ago) and this guy told me he was recruited by AGF_Ratt (how skorp was called) just a few

days before that

i fought this new AGF, killed him 10:0 and had a nice talk

afterwards
he told me that AGF_Ratt (skorp) told him that sooner or later i would appear

(looks like it was sooner)
finally i gave this guy a free training-lesson telling him

about movements lol
totally crazy - i do it again and train skorps members

The

WarpBouy-Concept
In SL there were no tradelanes to travel long distances in one sector...

and this was a problem for SL-Reborn
ppl who played SL know that you just activated the

autopilot and you flew a long distance to a new area

To do something similar in

SL-Reborn without the use of tradelanes i created a new type of bouy... this bouy is

dockable and creates a small warpanomaly below or above it
this anomaly will speed you up

to a speed of 2500 (tradelane speed)
to make it shot it is nearly working like a

tradelane but there is online one entry-point and one point where you come out... so it will

be like a 500k catapult that speeds you up to 2500 without being something between

it
this means no other bouys between the start and the destination point
one of those

bouys is displayed above

The realistic sol-system concept
As you can see

the sol system looks very dark... no big nebulas in the background (in fact what you can see

is a real image of the milkyway)
Also the planets have very realistic highres textures

(which was a shitload of work to realize that coz those planets are not created like the

planets of the original FL)
The distances between the planets will be damn high and they

will also be very big (it will take some time to cruise around one of them)
The position

of the planets and their moons will also be realistic... ive downloaded tons of information

about their locations and which angle they have.
The sun is something which will be a

little bit hard to realize of the outer sectors of the sol system but i think i will find a

solution for it
currently the sun has a size of 50k (something which could possible

increase)
the deathzone for the sun will be much higher
As you can see everything in

SL-Reborn will break the limits of the original FL... also the size of the mod
Due to the

size of the highres textures .. the music and a extremely good intro which show the

backgrounds of the coalition war the mod will be bigger than CF even there are less

systems ships and equipment

Realistic SL-Weapons + equipment
You already know

most of the ships from CF... but in SL-Reborn you will buy the ships combined with guns (at

least its planned this way)
SL ships had fixed mounted guns and only missiles could be

added... i want to make the same for SL-R
The ships will be able to have equipment like

different engines... afterburners... armour upgrades... shield upgrades... licences (ill

explain this later) and different other objects
The price of ships wont be higher than

10mio$ but it will be damn hard to get money in SL-R (will be explained

later)

Serverlimitations
The server will set to just one char allowed...

this means no charswitching... you have to fight with what you have
Once you have choosen

a side (Alliance or Coalition) you cant change anymore
Clans will have to wear fleet-tags

-> like "[45th BG] or [68th DC]

dont ask me when the release is... i dont know
