new launcher doesnt work anymore

    about my launcher in win7: sometimes it stops like before ("launcher stopped working"). then i close it, start again and push button "settings" before error-msg appears. then it works fine.


    any new developments about the gecko-prob in winXP?

    Just got back from the trip, sorry for the delay.
    To sum up: we got random crash on W7 (IndexOutOfBounds exception)
    W7 x64: someone doesn't have MP\SP buttons - can anyone send me a screenshot so i could see what's exactly happened?
    WXP: Gecko crash and system32\shaders.xml.
    general: sometimes crashes with HTTP error 503 on computers bad connection


    Anything else?

    Yes, after updating the launcher when i start multiplayer and leaving manhatan it "teleported" me on pitsburg planet and if i want to launch in space i see the "docking out" cutscene and in just 1 second it's sending me back on pitsburg

    Nouma: are you sure you not have running any torrent in background or something similar? (or modified some files used in SP?) ... "Sent to Pitsburg" is server function, not related to launcher.

    @Forlon:no,i don't have any torrent runing in the background.I modified loadouts.ini(4 SP missions) from the ships folder,but it had let me stay in space for like 10sec and i saw a red icon on upper-left side of the screen like not connected to the internet icon in windows.


    If its that i'm gonna need the file from some1 who finished the CF story :help:

    Anyone who doesnt see launch SP\MP buttons - can you send me a screenshot? Asked for it twice and no answer.
    Update on current version: only random bug and this mysterious hidden buttons bug present, everything else seems fixed. We will roll the update out when it will be tested good enough

    hi utrack, i have read all the posts 7 times i have totally downloaded everything checked everything and the screen i get to and thats it was posted here on page 1 by nemaze tuesday july 9th at 1.30am . no more i am going to wait till it improves and much annoyed no game, i will hope the problem is found then try doing it all again.

    Hi there,


    Possible Crash Fix on launcher start
    When you open the launcher and it crashes all the time try to add *.swat-portal.com to the trusted sites in internet explorer.
    (open internet explorer -> extras -> internet options -> security -> click on trusted sites -> click "site" -> type in the address in the upper field -> make sure the checkbox in the lower area is not checked -> press "add"; close all windows with "ok") then start freelancer.


    After that the launcher stopped crashing on my maschine.
    Would be nice if someone could confirm this.


    Missing Buttons for game start
    When you have the launcher open then just maximize the window then you should see the buttons to start the game.
    There are different ways to do that, the simpliest way is to just double-click the window-title where it says "Crossfire 1.9 Launcher"


    At least on my system with windows 8 + 16:9 (1920 x 1080) is this working.


    Hope that this may help to play again until an offical fix is rolled out.

    main problem is that we can not reproduce the error atm
    most important is that we get somebody with the missing button problem to help us doing tests

    gibts Neuigkeiten bzgl. des Gecko-Problems?


    Ich fasse das nochmal schnell zusammen:


    Frische Freelancer & Flmm1.31-Installation, Crossfire 1.9 Installation.
    Disconnect Internet -> Funzt, zwar nur SP ;-) aber war ja wohl klar ;-)
    (hab das mal weggesichert, will ja spielen können)


    Reconnect Internet -> Crossfire updated, ich starte MP damit das Update zieht, Freelancer startet auch entsprechend.
    Dann Beenden Freelancer und Neustart Freelancer, sprich neuer Launcher... und
    Kann Gecko nicht initialisieren oder so ähnlich.


    Gibts eine Möglichkeit die Updates OHNE den neuen Launcher zu spielen?
    SP reicht mir...

    updates werden täglich neu erstellt... manuell ist da also nicht
    ich denke dass wir das problem sicher bald gelöst haben

    at last problem solved, most gratefull firewaran. can,t understand german but understood a bit to fix no mp/sp buttons, yahoo now have them and playing again after frustration so i did not get on again till today and read the posts op this pilot is great to have around for problem solving so simple thanks
