    do you know ,,, i lost all of my data that had i download since 1 years ago .... :(


    it's around 100 gb ...


    i lost that file because i put all of there on TEMP user folder ....


    I dont know the TEMP folder will be deleted if i log off from my computer ..


    I LOST ALL OFF MY FILES


    I LOST MY FREELANCER PICTURES


    MY SCHOOL FILES


    ALL OF MY GAME


    ALL OF MY VIDEO


    ALL OF MY INPORTANT NOTE


    AL OFF MY MUSIC


    I'm very angry , very sad ....


    Oh my GOD ... i dont believe this accident happen


    i dont know how to restore all of these


    the only thing that i have now only my MULTIPLAYER ID :((((

    Try use the PC's "Restore system" option, to restore it to a "Save" from the past. Though I'm not really sure what (in the world) made you move everything you got to a Temporary folder (there comes TEMP).


    But I'm not really sure how you cleaned everything there, since shutting down the PC doesn't empty that folder for me. Maybe CCleaner or similar software ?





    In any case, don't worry about the loss, you got everything important in your mind :) That's the most important thing, while you got that, you can easely get every software, game and stuff back fast and easy. Except personal pictures and such... and the school files (unless you got a copy of them somewhere). Nothing from that loss matters except the stuff that were created by you, and that can't be found on the internet or on some external HDD or Memory Stick.

    Well, even if it's by a Virus that ruined your HDD, or that the HDD died out for being old/hit/overheated, or that you simply smashed the PC into the wall (lol), or some mistake which made you lose the data, or the Windows itself, it has pretty much the same effect on people, and it happened to everyone who has any kind of PC.


    But being sad won't help with it, and being angry, maybe can help, if you use that anger to rebuild everything even faster... good ^^



    And your loss is pretty small (compared to normal PC losses), as you don't have to install everything from scratch (which is the most common thing).

    A moment ..... there are programs made to restore the files deleted in the hard disk, and seems that they work.
    Michael what to you think about it ?

    I use RECUVA software .....


    Fortunately i compress all off my files before they missing :D


    That software only can recover video , office file , picture , And compressed files


    YAYY ...... NOW i can get it back ....

    Do you know what ???


    there is no recovery data on my LAPTOP that means i cant use system restore


    But ...... this software still can recover all off my files :D

    Good job on recovering! But trust me bro, if you have $50-100 hanging around. I got a WD 1 TB external for my birthday ($100) and It's VERY helpful.

    And that's the problem with Recovery tools that are not within Windows.


    They don't always work, at least not for such big quantities of stuff/data. Also, as you said, it recovers normal type of things, as in, videos, images, text and compressed stuff. Where the Crossfire (and any other game I think) are not within those 4 types, as they have .DAT files, .DLL ones, executables, and so on.




    But I guess you did got some stuff back like the school stuff, right ? Then that's already better than it was before :D

    But ..... i have compress the crossfire setup to a RAR file ...


    but ... now i cant extract it ....


    The rar file that can i extract only my Windows 7 and Windows 8 files and ..... my daemontools :(

    The other TEMP folder will be created after i restart my computer ...


    And then .. if i save my files on the TEMP folder , and then i restart , the data that i saved in there will LOST .....


    I lost all of my data because of that :(

    I can RESTORE MY files now ......


    I dont know if my laptop still have 1 system restore files that can be usefull for me .....


    So after i recovered all of the healthy files with recuva ,, i use that system restore and then i run recuva again ...


    I was VERY-VERY surprised !!!! because after recuva scanning my HDD for deleted files ....


    i see the healthy files that i restore before i use system restore become Unrecovered !!!

    1.) File that have red Point means the file unrecovered
    2.) File that have yellow point means the file unhealthy and sometimes damaged after we restore it
    3.) File that have gren point means it can be recovered and very healthy


    And the files that i see damage ( corrupt or damage files ) become healthy after i use system restore

    And ya, lucky you DID have a Restore Point, and that they are normally made before you install something, and at some periods of time (which you chose).

    ... and now is rly good idea to made at least one backup (for most importatnt stuff) on external storage.

    Well !!!
    ..... I suggest you to do a "System Restore Point" at least 2 times at week (the oldest are deleted automatically).
    And to use a good program for uninstall softwares that makes a restore point before starting to work ( Revo unistaller, Iobit Unistaller ... ).


    Have an external hard disk to store all that's important is a VERY good idea !


    ( Still remember that I'm not very expert and someone else can give you better advice ).
