Can I recover an old Crossfire profile?

    I have been away from Crossfire for about 4-5 years and finally found a little extra time that allowed me to return to this marvelous universe.


    The version I last played was 1.7a and I have preserved all my FreeLancer IDs using FL Account Manager.
    However when I login using an ID that was previously known to Crossfire I have no ressources.
    Is a ver. 1.9 profile incompatiple with ver. 1.7a or have my ressources been removed due to inactivity?


    Well, I had some great ships back then, but I will take the effort to build a new ship if the old ones are unavailable.

    Everyone's chars, no matter activity got cleared up, the whole accounts data, when CF 1.8 got released. That due to major edits in how accounts, ships and capital ships work, and they were not compatible with the old saves.



    So yeah, those chars are gone, but don't worry ! Except the money, everything else that existed by then is pretty much useless in this version, there are new, cooler and better ships, better weaponry, better shields for each weapon type/class (if you remember, there are 3 major shield classes, and by then there was only 1 for the Top CF Shield), and yeah, a lot of new stuff.



    If somebody from here sees you online, I'm sure you will get help at the beggining of your return, to have an easy start.

    I actually look forward to revisit all the old haunts in order to improve eq.
    If equipment has changed so much I will be eager to find out what replaced the coalition gatling 8)


    Back then there used to be a Crossfire database where Crossfire specific items specs were available.
    I have searched the current portal without finding it - has it been abandoned and information left to exploration?
