I think I'm causing the server to crash?!

    Today after docking I hit F1 to change characters, as soon as I hit "New Character" the server crashed.
    I restarted the game as always when this happens (From my Desktop), and I could only get as far as the server list.
    As soon as I clicked the CF server it would go to the profile screen and crash again, even before it listed any of my characters.
    I tried 5 times to get on (restarted each time), then waited 10min, then tried again 2 times (restarted each time), and then I stopped at the server list and slowly watched the numbers of players increase, and tried again and it would always crash at the profile screen (before the list of my characters would appear).

    I would like to ad that after I restarted CF I noticed that the number of players would drop, as if the crash effected everyone, not just my game.

    Did one of my characters get bugged when it crashed or what, please help!

    I am attempting to logon to the server again, it's 7:55pm (UTC−06), please note crash time, on server.

    I attempted to logon to server, this time I made it to character list and clicked on one of my characters (Horus_]TheAnubis[) before it crashed. Being that I got to my character list this time it my not be me, will try again at 8:05pm (UTC-06).

    Attempted to logon again this time it crashed before character list like before. I will not attempt anymore logons for a while, please help.

    I have tried playing and not seen you while the crashes are happening. I'm a couple hours? after you signed off I think.

    Not to be rude but if you read my post I said it crashes at character list screen, before I get on server, but it seems to make the server crash at the same time.


    For those who are in charge of maintenance, I am attempting to logon to server again: Time 9:02pm (UTC-06)

    I tried to logon at 9:02pm(UTC-06), there were 11/128 people on, after I clicked the CF server and hit connect AGAIN it crashed right as the character screen was loading AGAIN, I then RESTARTED the game and when the server list came up there were 4/128 online 9:06pm (UTC-06), and the same thing at the same place once again.


    What do I do to resolve this, I want to play and I hope I don't have to start ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL over again from the beginning, that would suck some serious ass...Please Help!

    Yes, Yes I did, in fact I was just putting some guns in my armory and docked to switch characters, after a swap right when this happened...What do I do to fix, if you have to delete that character it is : Horus_]WeaponsArmory[ that I was using when it happened.

    After the 12th crash last night, there were 4 players who were always on before me after I relaunched the game. I spoke to them and all 4 of them were not relaunching, they were just logging back in. There has to be a better way of getting these people to register in the forum and know the rules prior to logging in.

    It is pretty annoying, I always said in universal channel about restarting the whole game from desktop after any crash/restart, and kicked the ones who haven't done it and don't answer/know about it.


    It is impossible to make everyone come on SWAT... unless you need to type in the launcher your SWAT's account before starting the game 8| Is this possible ? :D

    When server crash, always, i start CF from desktop. And during crashes, i´ve been at Sovetskaya system. After 5th crash, i said, hard night. Sometime server running without problems, but sometime crash 10x in 5 minutes. But for me, isn´t cause to stop play Crossfire :D !!!


    I don´t know, if somewhere on this forum is topic, because i can´t found it, if yes, please, do not kill me :) , but for example open topic with Name Server crashes(or something) and everbody, who played through server crash, post on the topic: System, coordinates.....

    My character is working once again, and I'm sorry for the constant PM's, but I was expecting a response from the ticket, not from here.


    Just so I know for future reference, I was told that this wouldn't happen if I kept less then 100 unmounted weapons on my ship.
    Obviously this was wrong, what is a good round number to prevent this from happening again...I'm thinking 10 weaps. max.

    Next server crashes due to overloaded chars. Great. I spend all my time cleaning accounts meanwhile.

    Agreed with Michael. If players are going to overload their chars with weapons and such, then too bad.

    I'll take it as don't have a store to stock weapons in fear that you will crash the server, although I see others doing the same. It's just nice to have a place to put weaps. for other ships that I may buy in the future. It is possible for me to regulate the number of guns and ammo I keep, I was just told the number was larger then it actually is. So I will ask kindly please, is there a minimum to prevent this from happening again. Once more I am Very Thankful for you fixing my account.

    The max ITEMS for a single char is 100 and 300 for an entire ID/account (including mounted stuff, and different stuff in cargo, no matter they are equipment, commodities, guns or ammo)



    It wasn't as recommendation, as I knew, "clearing" meant deleting chars, except for when the bug is easy to fix (as an overload).

    No stores in NY. In X3043 yes, but it's suicidal.


    Anyway, you can find somebody to keep items for you :) there are many players with stores
