1.9 for beginners

    I have installed freelancer + crossfire 1.82 ... nothing more (1.9 is ready for installation) ... what to do next .. ID and other things ... pls help.

    I have sold my BS and train all char parked in Manhattan. + in my store I have iner core weapons and coalition torpedo luncher....

    husker: try check FAQ. There is Huors easy setup how to have installed, activate and can play more mods. I have this way activated more different setups for CF. Is good have backuped clean FL instal.

    I have read lots of posts on how to install 1.9 .


    First install FAM or ID Changer. To save my server ID and $$ .


    Then unistal all
    1.82 from FLMM
    Freelncer
    FLMM
    Manually delete all save games ... and checked manually through a search engine for freelancer files on my HDD.
    CCleaner x2 :) and registry backup .


    Download CF 1.9 .... Make sure the file sizes are the same on HDD = download page ... 1.961.163.987 = 1.961.163.987 bytes
    Download FLMM 1.31



    Install Freelancer
    Install FLMM 1.31
    Instal CF 1.9 (about 5-10 min) ----I recommend restore point in this step.
    Activate CF 1.9 in FLMM 1.9 (grr i forget to turn off advanced shader)


    For all I used RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.


    for all of about 20 - 30 minutes of work. Perfectly and professionally done by the creators of mod.


    and double click on CF 1.9 and and NO 3D CARD bla bla bla ... and link for that problem:

    currently have problem Sol Nomad Carier Crash before first dock on osaris.

    I seriously would suggest not to use that hardware update crap
    CF uses a newer version of it already

    OP is right, I deleted the "crap" and put the original CF flconfigdatabase. CF works.



    I used 3DAnalize (NOT RECOMENDED)...... It seems that this has helped ....NO 3D CARD bla bla bla no more on my PC.

    Sixth time game crash Sol Nomad Carrier ... preess dock on osaris and loding crossfire data and game crash. I do not use autosave :)

    Same story... loading data files + game crash... 6 + 5 time for now ... sometimes i have galaxy ranger logo when i come in Sol :) time warp anomaly (just suicide and again NL to Sol)... for now i trying.... I returned on a mission Death W/Nomad lair and same story in Sol game crash.
