Feedback: - Freelancer and Windows 8 Developer Preview

    Freelancer and CF starts up beautifully in Windows 8 Dev Preview, but the mouse is not recognised.


    I installed the Microsoft Intellipoint 8.2 driver and the mouse also works perfectly ... :thumbsup:


    It seems that the fonts used in freelancer are not all there, and the substitute fonts looks very nice.

    Looks microsoft things work together, even very old things. They learned their lesson with vista :). Nice work with testing *thumbsup*


    Ben what you say, will be worth go from 64b 7 to 8?

    Hmm, windows vista 8 ? interesting... which works well with CF ? gonna check some videos :D

    the new metro style interface get's a bit to get used to it, but I have installed Win8 Dev Preview (64 bit) on a laptop that struggled to run Win7 (64 bit) and it runs much smoother and faster.


    It uses the same amount of RAM as Windows 7 ( even though MS says it should use less) but that may be just because it's a preview ...


    It also looks like the internet connection is handling traffic much faster ... - Good news for Freelancer. ..


    When Win8 goes commercial, I will definitely get it for end use purposes... but for Database Application Development, I will stick to Windows 7 for now

    8). Installed the fonts in from the cd and it looks like old style ....


    But I like the new font, so re-moved it again .... :)
