    I think that ppl here forgot how expensive PvP and RP can be, so when it comes about balance ofc that u need to make possible docking at planets without mooring fixture(for vessels with 600 and 700 cargo), otherwise we will see same thing as in 1.7:
    Soulforge train and Apc! and


    ppl in:


    1)NB>St and back and BMG from St to Frankfurt
    2)Sos run
    3)Sol run
    mostly^


    of course i understand OP's point when it comes about MP gaming and interactions between players (Soulforge train and Apc for example), unfortunately in reality is opposite and as results we had Empty systems in X (empty regarding trading and RP) OP u can not force ppl to interact that way, after all i was in police and i know sometimes, some my ex clan m8s wants to hide their trading activity , and what about freelancers...
    PPl likes freedom of the choices.


    and link all with next overview:


    30 Pvp per day=minimum 20 millions (sometimes i had more then 50 PvP+RP per day)


    Now calculate time for this PvPs/RPs +time for trading, and u will find result =3 or 4 hour spent in game(minimum with all this chat and u know...) and tell me, who play 4h/per day, maybe in the beginning^^...as i know u make this mode for many months, maybe years to come...


    Where is the balance? From more than 100 beautiful CF systems ppl use only few for trading and for RP-(bare in mind RP usually start where the trade is in the process).


    I am not dreaming, i have several thousand hours in CF^^
    .Pls wait for feedback from active players.We know each other.

  • I liked the BMG run from Cortez to Malta, 60 mil per run, well worth it, and meant you went through X, nobody bothers with that run for some reason, but it does open up RP possibilities.


    I disagree that RP costs so much as per my other post. but yes, more trade routes being used would be good variation. I put the lack of variation down to Pirates and Police not doing their job properly. If the main runs cost the traders a lot of money in tax or Blown up ships, then the lesser used routes would become a safer option, so they would sacrifice a little profit in order to get there safeley.


    Personally i would like to see higher maximum Tax and Fines in the server rules for people on rank 90+ or even 80+. That would liven the server up a bit.

  • yes this is a part of my point, but as i reply to you in another topic (omg i open this 1 for reason lol) imagine possibilities regarding more trading possibilities.


    Imagine CF world full of ppl like ants all around in searching for better profits and fun.
    Imagine cops who trying to maintain order. merc who hunts for bounties and rats who tax, smugglers who use whole situation for smuggling.
    All is linked with fucking money and trading even in game, so let us use this for fun this time^^

  • totally agree, however, dynamic economy is not really dynamic, it seems to be semi-dynamic. the same runs are always there at some point. If however the Commodities were Randomly assigned to Random stations every server restart, we would have less huge money traders, as they would be searching for profits rather than just logging in on a certain day to do a certain run. Once a route is found, it would always be a different route :)


    Do think it wouldnt be a bad idea to have more morrings in X region, but then thats up to OP for whatever reasons.

  • uh i confused you sorry, main point for now is:
    make possible docking for 2 ships (600 and 700 cargo) at all planets.


    And this about 2 or even 3 profitable route in one day will be matter of random calculations OF COURSE.


    Cos some ppl like to risk more, on the other hand some ppl do not like risk, and many other variations just put ur imagination in work and u will see!

  • ah right i see what your saying, yes nice idea, the transport and large transport might be worth using aswell then. instead they are kinda left out all the time. They are awesome tho fitted with BS turrets :D i used them for a bit and even taxed with them, but the repair costs are very high, so you have to really be doing BMG runs to make these profitable ships.


    I dont know whether the mooring fixtures can distinguish between trains and transports tho can they?

  • Also, as I remember I told about long ago, there shouldn't be a 'bst ship', with high handling and possibilityes than the rest of the fighter ships. As soon, in a while all people will have the same ship, nearly (as happened with Lagg), then for getting bored, people switch to other ships... jsut for seeing too much the same ship :D So the idea would be a group, ( 10 ? 20 ?) of ships, with the same handling, weaponry, features, energy, there could be a little difference at the hull, but notthing important heh. That would make PvPing more interesting, each player with his own ship, each one preferring how his ship looks, over the other ships, but all being the same in all features. ^^

    If you have the large transporters made dockable at planets .. then RP would die ..
    As all clans would be trading in there space .. well thous with dockable planets would .
    Op made it that way so everyone would have to trade with big ships in one area .. better RP .
    Hopefully soon BMG will be available to thous mounting a smugglers Licnece only ... no hiding a big yellow triangle above your ship .
    As for making mass amounts of money for PVP ..thats what killed RP before .. people just sat round in X or New berlin PVP .. and calling it RP .
    You have ships out there can can dock with any planet or station .. ok you dont make vast amounts of money .. But its called RP .. as for the best Fighter ... well theres a farmer and the sheep follow ..

  • Well, my idea was called 'Diversity of PvP and battles' :D as it would bring more colours... and beautyness also diversity in PvPs and battles. 10 ships the same of good, that you choose the one you like, is the best thing. Instead of 1 better ship, that all will get sick of having it and meeting the same ship piloted by any good player arround... as it happened in CF 1.7

  • Ghost i do not want to praise my slf but i am 1 of very few ppl who boost RP in every possible way(ofc since i am here), but ok we will wait and see what will happen in few months, as i said i has more than 2500h of playing and more than 3000 PvPs.


    And about clan system trading-No, ppl never stay at home, this is not in human nature, believe me ;)

  • 3000 PvPs... I remember, it was pretty fun... as you were Top 2 in the whole CF 1.7 story of deaths, and in that list top 1 of the lowest % of Win, it took you a good while to learn.
