Well, I've seen 3 ENORMOUS inconsistencies in this intro.

1st is the: Solar System getting blown to smithereens. That didn't happend since i've been to the Solar System at least 5 times.
2nd is the: Admiral Guy who supposedly went to the Sirius sector to warn the guys about the Nomads. That I don't remember happening ANYWHERE.
And the last (3rd) but not least: The Solar System was attacked by Nomads Right ? Well how come that I go to the Solar System and I am getting attacked by DOM'KAVASH GUNBOATS ? Anyone able to explain that ?

but if serious, then Crossfire storyline really differs from the "extended" story. The whole Altair sector doesn't match with the idea that all Sol (together with the Coalition) was blown up in pieces.

what i consider weird is that the admiral guy looks pretty much like captain foster from starlancer (he is dead btw.) and that other guy also looks like a SL character

Would I be correct in saying that the originator of the game ran out of funds and that's why MS took it over? and that it was because of the fact the original was far too big so it was cut down, but the first releases had the long intro until MS realised it didn't fit the new shortened game itself?

I would remind you that in the original game it said the DK vanished with no evidence of disease or war.

The war was between the coalition and the alliance, and later between the nomads and the alliance.

This suggests that the nomads were out of control and the DK were never hostile.

or the DK had other reasons to leave and left the nomads behind to protect their old territory from an unknown danger

and ehmm microsoft always was publisher of DA and bought DA somewhen to include them into the microsoft games studios
