textured lights... i initially used dynamic lights but FL has some limitations on the number of light sources that can be rendered and since ive added many other dynamic lights to CF already (such as lights for guns, explosions, missiles, flickering lights around solar anomalies,...) i decided that its not worth letting the game crash for another light source that can be "faked" with textures

As far as i remember there are only 8 light sources supported at same time.

I hope you don't mind my criticism, but the lights on the docking bay look too bright in my opinion, and how does it look if the door opens? Do the lights stay at a same angle, or do they move together with the door?

lights in the dark actually are bright but you can also try to use ordinary candles if you want to see something in space... would be interesting to see if you manage to get this working
and ehmm what else should the lights do if the doors are moving? there there in the middle of nowhere? those lights are "mounted" to the doors
