    i do agree a bit with magnet, not that i don't lilke them, but they do seem a bit - too much details.


    anyway, installer will support options, so we'll b able to choose which textures we like best (even modifying installation will b possible, without reinstall, so one can switch anytime without reinstalling fl, cf, flmm, etc...). :]

    basically im more a fan of realism and those new nebulas aint that realistic
    but since FL does already use such nebulas i see no problem to give them more details
    especially since you can almost see the pixel of the original ones as big as planets


    and i think for every long term freelancer it will be a nice change to see something new
    for sure there will be some ahhhs and ohhhs

    nice... :) but wouldn't the options mess with the anticheat [modified files]??

    those are low priority files... they are not covered by the the anticheat
    ive never heard that somebody had an unfair advantage using a different star background

    ofc not, since those files r static and represent no cheating possibility for third party. on the other hand, situation will not be any different from now: u can modify certain files in cf and yet have it working (because those r just cosmetic changes, nothing that would affect gameplay and/or server).

    actually it can be an unfair advantage -> if all starspheres are e.g. white, you can see and track other ships better. also exploring is easier when stuff is in big contrast w/ the background...
