    Hooray, we have a teenager!

13 years ago a dream was born, a dream about a Community full of great people and lots of fun.
Together we went through ups and downs, worked hard to create something impressive that people always will remember and enjoyed the fruits of this hard work.
This community evolved into something great and after 13 years we are in a situation where we have so many options that its hard to decide.
Whatever that future decisions will be, we keep moving forward, knowing that this is a place by the players for the players.

In the past years I often released impressive numbers about Portal visitors, mod downloads... etc.
    I'll skip that today.
While these numbers are about the same as last year (slightly better) I consider them relative unimportant.
You cant measure joy in numbers.
People had the chance to discover all the new stuff in CF2.0 during the past year and also helped to make this mod even better.
People also were active on the forum.
This shows me that this is a

It's been an excellent week for Excalibur models! The Wing Commander community has its own version of the twin movie phenomenon where it seems like fans develop similar items in totally separate bubbles. As is often the case, the result here is that we have double the amazing eye candy to enjoy! In his latest masterpiece, Defiance_Industries designed a slightly beefed up Excalibur based on the Secret Ops version as a bridge to the concept version meant for Wing Commander Arena. There are some very handsome shots of it parked in the Victory's flight deck - plus pics alongside a classic Excalibur and Midway megacarrier. Last, but certainly not least, Defiance has mocked up an entire virtual history of this variant in an ICIS style recap. You can read up on that in a PDF here.

    Review 2016 / Preview 2017

Just about a week ago I announced another update that I want to release end of December 2016 or beginning Janurary 2017 (depending on how fast I can finish the development and how much extra content I decide to put in). This new update will introduce the "Dynamic Universe" feature to Crossfire 2.0. Some people might remember that we had a similar feature in Crossfire 1.83, long time ago. Due to the complexity of such a feature and due to other priorities, the "Dyniamic Universe" didn't make it

To tee up that conversation, we’ve recruited a handful of developers to take you through our plans, from the 2.0 update that went live today, through our current plans for seasons and the annual pass.

    Spacedock

has put together a neat short clip on the nature of fighter space combat. Daniel talks about the need to turn into your enemy, avoid jousting and aim for large targeting surfaces among other things. Wing Commander isn't the focus of the video, but it may as well be as most of the topic is relevant to fighting in the WC universe. A second video talks about how hard it would actually be to evade missiles in space. Tough times for fighter pilots!

Spacedock gives some handy day-to-day advice on Space Dogfighting.

This Week at Bungie - 8/16/18

    Aug 16 - dmg04

This week at Bungie, we’re heading to gamescom.

The away team is all packed up and ready to ship out to Köln, Germany, for a week of community love and Gambit trials. Our booth will be home to some friendly skirmishes. We’ll host as many Guardians as we can. We'll find some moments to show you some things you have yet to see and tell you some things you have yet to hear. Keep your eyes on our social channels next week!

Not all of us will be battling jetlag and minions of Darkness. Here at home base, Forsaken is in the very final stages of development. We’re applying finishing touches, and we know there are still
some questions you want answered before the Prison of Elders is

After the deployment of the January Release today, we have been made aware of an issue with expeditions not appearing properly in The Agency. This has manifested itself for our players in the form of names, setting destination and the ability to warp to them being unavailable.

We’re aware of this issue, which was not present in any of our testing and appears to be unique to Tranquility, and are currently working on a fix.

While we look to remedy this issue, we’ve temporarily re-enabled the expedition tab in the journal with a hotfix, and have also added an Expedition filter to The Agency.

We hope to have this issue fixed as soon as possible!
